        What is your topic?
        What are you advertising?

Because the content you are trying to promote can have an impact on the advices people can give you where or how to drive traffic to it.

I would suggest the secret is going deep into terms and search out terms with low monthly traffic but are going to be more targeted. I will take a term that provides 10 visitors a month and I can convert 8 of them over a term that may bring me 1000 visitors and only be able to convert 8 of them. BANDWIDTH costs money.

So shooting for terms that have MASS volume 5000 searches a month ( example ) - on paper looks like a good idea, but #1 those terms are going to be hard to rank for, and #2 financially landing in the top 3 for a term like that will shoot your traffic up requiring you to up your hosting package - and MY experience suggests the rate of conversion drops thru the floor and its simply not worth it.

Long tail keyword terms with minimal searches per month is the best place to start. Ranking for these lower traffic terms will get you conversions ( sales ) and with the better placement possible with these terms will assist in developing your DA score. Its a win - win.

    Hope that Helps!

        Google keyword tool.

Among other things, it lets you put in a url and spits the top 800 keywords ot thinks the page is about.

        Put your pages through that.

Put the page that is number 1 for one of your top keywords, chose some of the goid (by intent) keywords and ask google keyword tool to give you ideas.

Put yourself in your prospect's shoes, how do they search.

Don't know your niche but here are some examples:

        Bride-to-be might be searching for
A-line wedding dress with long sleeves and low back.

Google keyword tool will tell you less than 10 searches like that a month, but the woman who is searching for that really knows what she wants and is ready to buy.

        Another example:

is x type of item better than y type

Depending on the item, you get 0 to 100 searches a month. But the searchers mean business.

        Another one:
Can you use fha 203k loans to put in granite counter tops

Insignificant number of searches, but... You guessed it.

What are similar searches in your niche?

By the way, did you notice the length of the terms?

I was told to join this site and start helping people as one way to gain organic traffic. You need to have a certain amount of posts to display your link in your signature.

Blog once a week and use Yoast SEO to help you determine you SEO rating and readability of your blog based on keywords you think will help drive traffic. Also, you can blog about trending topics.

Quora is good I just started there.

Slideshare is another site I am looking at. Basically, you create presentation slide decks and can add links in at the end to your site.

Post on social daily. Everyone tells me that I am missing massive opportunity on YouTube. I will get there. Also, Facebook live sessions are a good way to get engagement. You can mention and post your URL at the end.

It is taking time for me to build up some credibility but, I believe the work I am putting in now will pay off. Organic traffic is great because the people visiting are interested in your stuff.

Don't forget to pixel your site with Google and Facebook. You can use those visitors later when running ads. Never send generic paid traffic to your site. It will only skew the numbers later. One last tip, make sure you have a lead magnet to an email list. You can then send emails to this list and drive traffic back to your site. Example, new blog post, etc.

You need to add a Facebook pixel and Google pixel. Basically, whatever traffic you send to your site will be captured by these pixels, they are basically a cookie. You use them to run ads based on visitors. So, if you have a sales page they land on, but not on a thank you page after a purchase, you can run ads to those who did not buy.

A Facebook Pixel is a piece of code that you get through the AdManager in Facebook, and you insert the code and it runs in the background.. You program what kind of information the Pixel (code) is supposed to collect from your website (demographics, CTR, other things), and FB collects that information for you. It's a bit complicated (for me) so you can Google/YouTube and find out more and exactly how it's done.
Google Analytics - I don't know what they call their code (I don't think they would call it the same that Facebook does) but it probably does the same kind of thing.

You can't link directly to an affiliate offer on Quora.
Instead link to a website or blog but don't make blatant
        promotions of your offers.

Do it indirectly by giving good advice otherwise you can be banned.

I do not think it is easy but it is not impossible to get organic traffic. It needs time and patience. If you want to see an influx of traffic then it has to be paid traffic method. However, with paid traffic methods, you may not necessarily see an immediate or influx of traffic (eg. PPC advertising).

Free traffic method can range from joining Facebook Groups, Blog, Articles contribution and joining Q&A forums, etc.

Please be reminded that it takes TIME to see the result as it is not an overnight miracle. However, consistency, patience and learning to give values to potential audience will get you there eventually.

      All the best :-)
      Hi.

      Thank you for your reply.

But the whole point of this thread, is to get organic traffic.

Paid traffic is not included in organic traffic - or is it?

      Do let me know.

      Thanks and regards.

The GREATEST issue with SEO is the target terms people try to go after. Nobody has any business trying to rank for the term XBOX. but people do.

I am going to blanket say 90% of the people reading this are just starting new sites. "New Site" equals no DA ( Domain Authority ) without DA, regardless of backlinks or whatever else you are LIMITED in the terms you might be able to rank for.

Look at DABK's post above. you ideally want to shoot for terms with MINIMAL traffic flow. generally speaking these are terms that have little to no competition... and actually can provide greater conversion rates. you DO NOT want to hit the sweet spot I see posted all over the internet of 5000 visitors per month. WHY? because you will not rank. Its that simple. THIS is why SEO "takes so long" because people target terms they should not be targeting.

Think about this... 10 pages of content on a website targeting terms with 5000 visitors or more a month... We read it here all the time.. it takes time, it takes months, it takes years you have to build back links you have to do this and that and the other. and your site has no DA score.

Lets take those same 10 pages of content and target terms with say 100 visitors or less per month. No competition.. you might get lucky and land on the first page of the SERPS with your first try on 8 of those pages. you WILL get visitors.. and because as DABK has stated the terms are targeted and you might actually get conversions.

So what is DA? DA is a score that determines in theory the ability for your site to rank pages. The higher the DA the greater probability you can rank a page. How do you build DA? rank pages in the top 10 is a good start. The process of ranking pages BUILDS DA.

Going back to the 10 page example above.. moving forward if you have 10 pages ranking for lower traffic terms what is the likelihood you will be able to rank 5 more or 10 more? What happens if you remain disciplined with this and after say 20 ranked pages you shoot for a term with 1000 views a month?

Your saying "Not Possible" and I am saying follow this strategy.. and YES it is absolutely possible.. as in repeatedly possible.

For this we have to know about website niche, keywords to analyze.

If you want to get good ranking then follow these steps.
        • After choose keywords for your website ..... Analyze your website completely to follow on page rules and guidelines. If your on page is good then off page will work fine otherwise off page is a bit useless.
        • Check your competitors websites and compare with your on page and off page methods. This is must if you want to beat competition and need quick promotion.
        • Then apply work either according to competitors status or try to build more better reputation than him.
Not so simple but not so hard also to get desired position within three months ..... I think three months can be deadline because if work is dedicated and according to search engine rules and guidelines then you can see effects on ranking within few weeks or hardly within 2 months.

    Hi,

I suggest to you Digital marketing or SEO. Nowadays it's the best way to promote business in a local and outside location. Some digital marketing parts are related to paid advertising but SEO is an organic way to get traffic on the website, in which two parts Off-page SEO and On-page SEO.

In On-page SEO where you can optimize your websites like meta tags, website content, image optimization and etc.

In Off-page SEO where you can create backlinks to get organic traffic on your website.

I would suggest it comes down to this... If you are hiring out something you "CANT" do.. I think that's trouble. How do you know if the person you hired to do X is doing it right? I would rather see education before delegation. go ahead and FAIL at whatever it is, but go into the next phase knowing something - understanding maybe not how, but what direction you need to be going, and hire someone to do that. Without the FAIL before the delegation I think is just trouble.

Start writing content for guest posts on sites that allow it.
And score backlinks for your site while you do that.
You could also post on relevant topics on forums. But that does not get much juice to your site.

You need to have a certain amount of posts to display your link in your signature.

That is not true - you can pay $5 for a signature to advertise your website - not to advertise an affiliate link but your own site or blog. (subscribed threads in your control panel).

I would use Pinterest or Youtube as you can quickly begin getting traffic to your website.

Use, google keyword planner to come up with topics to discuss Record video discussing the topic using either slides, or screen-shares or a combination of both.

Use your phone notes apps to listen to your video and write out the transcript for you.

Now take that transcript and post it to your blog.

Pin your blog posts being sure to use an attractive/interesting picture as the main image for your pinned blog post.

Post your video on youtube using a thumbnail that's interesting/attractive.

The combination of youtube, pinterest and your blog should help get clicks to your website while you wait for your blog posts to get indexed.

Also, build your twitter, facebook pages for your website/business.

Maybe it is time for you to do paid ads. I think that there is just too much competition in your niche.

For example, if you go to Google and do a search for and try to rank for the keyword make money online, there are ONLY 4,040,000,000 results.

Too competitive and I would not even try to rank. Total waste of time.

  • If you want it fast, you'll need to pay for ads. But it's not instant. Even if you have an unlimited budget, if there's nothing in your website to keep them there, you're just wasting money. So make sure your website has the content that your customers are looking for.

Re: USING QUOTES - Good try but not quite there...

If you choose to answer every post in a thread (it's a choice) - use quotes so others know WHAT you are responding to - BUT DO IT IN ONE POST. Do not make 8-10 posts - one after the other.

I merged multiple posts above so you'll see what I mean. Not everyone will provide the answer to exactly what you ask - and you can't control how people answer.

Don't be scared to post. You have not violated any rule, it's just easier for everybody to know who you are talking too. By asking for clarification it helps you and helps other members on the forum. Plus it keeps the conversation going. Which is the best part of this place. The quote button in the classic view is a great feature.

Part of the reason why its a nightmare is because from the looks of things you want to immediately start ranking and at the bare minimum it's going to take at least a few months; moreover if you have just started a new site (which'll likely be as well relegated to google';s alleged sandboxed).

Your goal here should be to get traffic in a few months, not overnight or even this week.

The long-tail post above I agree with completely, though, in the interim. Go after keywords with very low search volume and create content based around that.

The key is SEARCH PRECEDES YOUR TOPIC, not the other way around. You do not create content and topics that you pull from the top of your head. You create topics and content that is being searched for on google.

    Search before content, always.

    Good luck

The simplistic followup questions in this and other threads don't fit with the site in your sig. just sayin.... You appear to be looking for questions to ask rather than learning from answers being provided. It gives the impression of 'posting to raise post count and sig exposure' - though you probalby don't mean it that way. Better to take the time to research answers you don't understand so you will know 'what it means'.

Google has NO FEELINGS about your site...none. Google doesn't care if your site does well and gets traffic - or not. Google is a search engine. If you, as a marketer, do what is required to attract traffic - google will send that traffic. It is up to you to create the paths that traffic will follow - google won't do it for you.

Create a facebook page for your site/ business.

Post entertaining stuff and, now and again share an articke from your site.

Join facebook groups in the niche, the large ones.

    Participate.

Write articles that help people in the niche solve a problem. That is important.

Not general articles, not rehashed stuff they can find anywhere; stuff you know because you solved the same problem or that you researched in depth, do your info far exceeds what they can find with a quick google/ youtube search.

SEO should be secondary. Go for it, no point in leaving money on the table; but it is slower and you should always have more than one method and the main ones should be easy to scale up fast.

Paid ads are easy to scale up fast; facebook groups not that easy but easier than SEO.

Do not break facebook rules. Scaling up is about finding larger, targeted groups and giving them better content. A bit more often but not crazy often.

The idea is to give them content they want to share to their followers/ friends

What it means is.. it is best to put yourself aka your ads and links on platforms that will "convert" in regards to your product, service, offer, etc.

In this context, when we say "all over the place" it means "our marketing efforts are spread over too many platforms" to the point that a number of those platforms do not match our target market resulting in little to no "conversions".

Here, I'll mentions the word "conversion" for a third time. Reason being is any Marketing/SEO effort has little to no importance when the Marketing/SEO does not "convert".

In terms of Internet Marketing and Traffic be it Paid or Organic Traffic.. it is really about.. "conversions".

An analogy.. You go to two different Internet Resturants and have a choice of two dishes aka packages of Traffic that "converts" (or) a package of Traffic that does not "convert".

We would all want Traffic that "converts"

Now, lets say that the first Internet Restaurant is Facebook. Lets say the second Internet Restaurant is Twitter. We have to choose which of the two matches our target market, so the traffic "converts".

                        Make sense?

I do not know who is your target market, so I can only elaborate with a a fundamental example of how to drive traffic to your offer that "converts":

Originally Posted by savidge4 View Post

I don't know what you mean about what Google loves. Google doesn't care about your traffic.

Jeffrey covered my points (Thanks Jeffrey):
you need to be where your likely buyers are
if you get one platform working a bit and another one a bit and another one a bit, you end up exhausted and with little sales.

If you get one platform doing great, you end up not exhausted and making sales.

You only have 24 hours in a day. Why spread yourself thin?

I gave you links to three articles that, should you implement the information in them, would take you a long way towards getting Google to send you traffic.

Google does not send you traffic.

Google sorts website pages in relation to a search term.

If you Google make money online, at the very top of the results page, you see:
                            About 3,640,000,000 results (0.75 seconds) .

Only 10 of them are on pag3 1.

And only 1 is in the first position.

Your job is to get one or more of your pages in that position. Or, at least in #2 or 3. #1 gets about 33% of the clicks. #2 about12. #3 about 10.

You don't want, though, to be at the top for any keyword. You want to be at the top for keywords people use when they mean to buy. One of the articles I sent you a link to covers choosing keywords to rank for.

To be at #1 , you need to have better SEO than anybody else. That means you use the keyword and related keywords in the right way on your pages and that you get backlinks from other sites to the page you rank. The other two articles I sent you cover ways to do that.

Get to work. Read those articles. Don't read all you can find in Google on SEO, you'll get overwhelmed, get a lot of bad info, and you will waste time. Start with those three, implement, come back with additional questions, should you still have some left.

Did you catch that not everybody clicks on your link even if you are at the top? By the way, that's the average, 30%. You can be at the top and get 2% or 0 or 17. Has to do with your url, title, page description in the search results.

So, where's the money coming in from?

I know it's the site in your signature. News sites need a sponsor with deep pockets or they need to make money.

Breaking news worldwide but all you have is coronavirus stuff. Surely, there's actual breaking news.

          Anyway,

it seems to have no reason for being other than showing redundant coronavirous stuff, no organization.

I don't know what your definition of success for the site is, but organizing it, giving it structure will surely help you get there.

I mean, I visited your site, a couple of blogs, and saw no ads, no links to anything that had anything to sell. So, who's paying you?

So, where's the money coming in from?
              What do you mean?

Do you have deep pockets? And this site is your hobby? Then why does it matter if you rank in Google? Why not just pay for some ads? (If you don't have someone backing you up and the site is not making you money, and it's not a hobby, how long will you do it?)

I know it's the site in your signature. News sites need a sponsor with deep pockets or they need to make money.
              Why is this so?

I am getting at the same thing Kay covered. The Corona virus will fade from the news. So, what will you do then? Plus, in my opinion, covering something that happened yesterday ain't breaking news. Covering something you've already covered (even if you're getting somebody else talking/writing about it, ain't breaking news.

Yes, you can choose any topic you want. But if you want to be around in a year or 5, you'll choose topics with staying power. With other topics, you will not have the same problem. You will still have ranking issues, getting followers on FaceBook and such, but you will have about the same interest in the topic 1 year, 5 years or 10 years from now, or could switch easily from what you have to what will be of interest in those years.

Example: you write about exercise and focus on Schwinn bikes? If they stop interesting the public, you switch to another brand and your loss will be minimal, if any, because enough people will still be interested in exercising.

I am going to tread lightly here, I value the opinions of many that have spoken here. As much as I get the idea of spreading to thin... I know I have changed my position on this greatly n the last year or so... I just don't think there is such a thing. I think there is to narrow if anything.

The issue most have with the concept is HOW to create that much content across so many platforms. The answer I believe to be simple in concept, but takes an amount of practice. Pillar content is the method. Converting a centralized piece of content in to a number of micro pieces of content to spread across the many social platforms. A video here a quote there a link back to the content over on that one. get involved in a conversation about the content on twitter. Posting the images from the post on Inst and Pinterest.

The only way to get attention... is to post in places that will get attention. and the thought that do X on Y platform until you get it right and move on is at this point narrow minded. I will add - if we are discussing running ads on all of these platforms I will 100% agree work on one platform and one platform only, until you get it down, then move onto the next. But sharing content - Share away.

directly @VirtualVeena I am in 100% agreement that Google really doesnt care what you post on facebook or twitter. I would do the initial focusing on your profile for each to ensure your site link is there - but after that Social Media does not help SEO... it in itself is a method to get traffic - in the same way you look at Google getting you traffic.

It is that thought process that has led me to being active on a multitude of platforms at a time. 20 to 40 pieces of content a day should be a thing. A new post. 4 shares on Pintrest, 4 Tweets, 3 Instagram Posts, 4 Facebook posts A couple of Forum posts, Stumble whatever... That's almost 20 right there - and then doing that EVERY DAY!

And then on top of that, you have to actually USE the social platforms. Going on and posting posting posting will get you no where. you have to equally consume - AND comment AKA actually be "Social" instead of a SPAM *SS. I personally CONSUME way more than I post... And I intelligently comment on other people content. <-- THIS is the actual aspect of Social Strategies that get you traffic. Posting content is about YOU and your ends... Commenting on other peoples stuff takes YOU out of the picture ( unless you are spamming )

A new video by Logan Paul ( of all people - I actually do watch his podcast regularly because as he gets older he is getting wiser - most of the time LOL ) I think puts a ton of this into perspective. If we were to stop looking at all of this as being ME ME ME I want traffic.. and started looking at content as a "Resume" - why should someone come look at your content? - Sh*t would change quick.

Being active on many platforms is, in itself, not spreading yourself thin.

Being on many without a strategy or understanding of how to do it well is.

I see many being active on many platforms, without regard to where their ideal client is, without understanding what the rules of the platforms are, etc. Some get banned.

They put in a lot of time and effort, and fail... Either everybody ignores them or the returns are so pitiful they get discouraged.

Based on her questions, I think Veena should slow down right now. Later, she should be active on all platforms time allows that her audience is on.

I think Veena, and all people at her stage, benefit if they focus more on understanding what a marketer is, a problem-solver, and how that applies to temselves.

Too many hear that blogging is easy, you need 2000 minimum words per post but all you have to do is google your keyword, read a couple of the articles that come up and start typing.

And yeah, there is the discussion about passion for the niche.

It works much better if you understand the problem-solver part and how to build authority; if you understand that who your ideal client is and how to talk to them and where you are goingbto reach them.

If you start an article that offers a solution to a real problem your audience has and you write it with an offer in mind knowing why you chose the type if article you are going to write, how you are going to repurpose it and why, you are far better off than doing it the way most beginning bloggers do.

My suggestion, Veena, is to start slowly, set up Google alerts for her keywords and monitor what sites her alerts are coming from. Join the forums and platforms based on the alerts.

Spend some time figuring out how to produce content that addresses acutal problem in a way that her audience will consume, and figure out how to not spam. I have come across many who were spamming, based on idividual platform rules and in general, though their heart was in the right place and, at least some of their participation, contained really useful info for a particular type of audience.

Seems silly, not spamming is not a hard concept, still...

You are right about pillar content, Savidge. And you have seen many who fail at producing. Imagine how those who don't even try.

The thing is, the difference between being successful or not is small, in a way. Just a few slight adjustments in understanding a point here, a point there.

I think slowing down in the beggining, to get that undeslrstanding is crucial. It is hard to unlearn... You might not even be aware what needs unlearning. If you half know / understand, you risk getting exhausted or demoralized or both.

          Agreed.

For a beginner: Go slow > Go smart > Take action.

Slow down and take the time to learn, so you will become a smart marketer and most importantly schedule all of your actions to coincide with your target markets intent.

The beginning can be a 'Slow Roll' and 'Build Momentum' as you move forward.

For now you can go ahead and join the appropriate platforms and learn the rules (what you can and cannot do), so that you are not banned from one or all of the platforms.

Ask us questions (don't be shy} and just keep in mind that Warriors have tough skins, so if we sound harsh - we're not - we are just being real.

Kay, DABK and Savidge4 have only your best interest in mind. Sometimes we are blunt with each other, yet we remain respectful of each others opinions and ways. We may be blunt with you too - because we only have good intentions.

          Google alerts: https://www.google.com/alerts

          Keywords.

Read the article on keywords I sent earlier, (https://backlinko.com/keyword-research) . Go to Google keyword planner, type in one of the keywords you're likely to write an article about...

Before you do that, think about your site's structure, future articles/posts... Divide into groups....

Question, why is everything on your site about Coronavirus?

If everything is about the virus... you could break the news by country.

Your blog has no structure, no plan.

Just going with the latest news and piling up articles isn't going to do much for you.

          Set a structure:
Have a page for sports, for instance, and all articles go under there (Google Silo strategy for SEO, or read the article I gave you from McPace).

          Sports -
          soccer
          baseball
          tennis
          etc.

You would be shooting to rank those pages...

Your homepage changes every time you add a new article, so it will be hard to rank that... because it's changing.

Create pages that do not change, rank those.

          Like I said,
Sports... and find keywords with 10-100 searches a month, and write articles around those keywords...

Tennis... find keywords with 10-100 searches a month and write articles around those keywords.

          Baseball... same...

Usually 4 words or longer, with good grammar. You can type the keyword in the search bar, if it returns fewer than 10k pages, your chances are high. If you type the keyword with intitle:keyword (intitle:women's-soccer-team-restrooms) and it returns fewer than 100, you've got a really good chance... intitle + keywords gets you the number of pages google has that have used your keyword in title... A low number means few pages are actually optimizing for that keyword.

Question, why is everything on your site about Coronavirus?
            Why not?
            It is the hottest topic.

Your blog has no structure, no plan.
            I thought I had one!

Just going with the latest news and piling up articles isn't going to do much for you.
            Ohhhh, why not?

            Set a structure:
Have a page for sports, for instance, and all articles go under there (Google Silo strategy for SEO, or read the article I gave you from McPace).

            Sports -

              Why not?
              It is the hottest topic.

And when things quiet down, you start fresh on another topic, i.c., you work harder than you need to.

Your blog has no structure, no plan.
I thought I had one! Please describe it. I did not notice structure.

Just going with the latest news and piling up articles isn't going to do much for you.
Ohhhh, why not? Because you need visitors. Build it and they will come does not work.

              Set a structure:
Have a page for sports, for instance, and all articles go under there (Google Silo strategy for SEO, or read the article I gave you from McPace).

              Sports -
              soccer
              baseball
              tennis
              etc.
How does this fit in with my topic? It does not. It was an example.
There are other sites for that, right? Yes. That does not mean you cannot get in on it too.

Your homepage changes every time you add a new article, so it will be hard to rank that... because it's changing.
Do Google Spiders not like fresh content? They do. but they like making matches even more... matches between what searchers want and web pages. If your home page changes constantly, how will it do the matching part. Your site is a good match for X Monday morning but for Z Monday evening, except Google's bot came by in the morning... So, Google ends up with egg on its face if it shows your page in the evening for X.

After it came a few times, it figured out your home page changes often, so it will not ranking for the whatever it found on it the last time it came by... You could, of course, insist and counter insist... i.e., get more and more backlinks with whatever keywords you want as anchor text till you convince it to rank you for those keywords... but it's going to take a lot more effort and why bother when you can make static pages for the same keywords and rank those so much easier (which is not to say it will not require work / resource, just that it will require a lot less than ranking the home page.

Not understood this. When you want to rank, you want easy keywords with some traffic. The best way to analyze how easy a keyword is is to look at whoever is #1 for that keyword and analyze their on page SEO and their off page SEO.

The next best thing is to use something like majesticseo.com to analyze the same...

The next best one is to look to see how many pages Google knows of that are targeting whatever keyword interests you by looking at how many pages it thinks are about that keyword, then how many of them use the keyword in title, then how many use it in title and url.

allintitle:keyword is the command you give Google to fetch all the pages that use the keyword in the page title.... allinurl:keyword tells it to bring you all pages that have it in the url.

If you get allinttitle and allinurl results with 9 or fewer pages, you're guaranteed to be on page 1. If you get 25, say, you will not have a hard time making it on page 1 (people say, and often they're right; often but not all the time because for some keywords, you can have only 20 competitors but the first 10 are really good at it and have really deep pockets).

So, 500 credit score mortgage lenders, for instance: there are over 4,600,000 page in Google for that keyword.

136 of those pages use that keyword in title my allintitle search tells me (allintitle:500 credit score mortgage lenders)

0 of them use it in the title and url. (This "formula" was developed when Google used to give more weight to url keywords than it does now.

If you look at: fha loan bad credit first-time buyer, there are only 640,000 or so pages in Google.

Only 7 of them have the keyword in title (given the poor grammar, you can understand why). But, since only 7 are going for it, you'd rightly think it is less competitive than the one above.

The thing about bad grammar? You end up being number 1 and people skip your site.

              But you get the idea.

I can choose any topic, I would face the same problems, would I not?
So, why not a hot topic I have?
In 3-6 months or less (my guess is...less) - this pandemic will no longer be the top of the news every day. You have a site that copies articles from other sites - it's not an authority site or a medical site or an official info site.

When the topic fades fom the top of the news - traffic to your site will die. There will be no way to revive it because you have focused ONLY on one 'trending' topic.

At that point it doesn't matter WHAT you've done 'for SEO' - the topic will be old news and your site will be old news. Why is that hard to understand?

Your questions here are good enough that you are receiving help from some top marketers here. Seriously - stop and think about what others are advising before coming up with a snappy excuse.

    Hi

The fitting option for making your site SEO friendly is to deploy various tactics to increase the stream of organic traffic to your website.

    SOme ways to do it

understanding Crawling and Indexing - How to make Google Find and Read Your Website
    Keyword research
    User Intent and Site Structure
    On Page Optimization
    Getting live Social media pages
    Email Marketing (newsletters)

If it is an ecommerce website "Conversion Tracking and Optimization" is also a good option

This may help to creating a popular website with equally popular google rankings.

Try to select easy keywords and rank them and also use long-tail keywords. That would be good idea to get traffic easily. Also Content Marketing will be good idea to get a referral traffic.

      I agree.

Too many hear that blogging is easy, you need 2000 minimum words per post but all you have to do is google your keyword, read a couple of the articles that come up and start typing.

True, I have heard and read the same.

My suggestion, Veena, is to start slowly, set up Google alerts for her keywords and monitor what sites her alerts are coming from. Join the forums and platforms based on the alerts.
      How to do this?
And how to find long tail KWs cor my site which is in my signature?

You are right about pillar content, Savidge.
      What is pillar content?

you risk getting exhausted or demoralized or both
      I feel that way!
      Yes, this is tough.

If you started a new site, then don't expect to start ranking till your site is at least 3-6months old.

There are steps to ranking and patience is required plus it depends on what you are trying to rank for.

But these are some steps you should take some of which I have implemented and have worked for me and also made me affiliate commissions in less than a month

    1. You need to write relevant content
    2. You need social signals
    3. You need blog comments
    4. You need links from forums e.g Quora

That is the first step of ranking. There are more intermediate steps like web 2.0, guest posts and more

But you need to take it slow and one thing at a time.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11597509].message }}
  • Really depends on what you're 'selling'. Try to reach your target group on their social media platforms or through certain guides that they look into. Maybe even news articles. You can also do offline marketing if your product or service (sorry for that wording) is relevant for your locals

Free traffic comes at the massive toll which consumes all your time, and even then conversions are not guaranteed. Great free traffic sources are Craigslist, Quora, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest.

Paid Traffic like pay per click can be laser focused with Evergreen keywords and reaching your exact customer demographic. You can use services like Google Adwords, Reddit Ads and Microsoft Ads.

If you want converting traffic you need to find the Evergreen keywords meaning what are the top three competitors in your niche using for their Google Adwords campaigns you can use Spyfu to do that research then get started on your own Google Adwords campaign.

    Hi veena,
This is what exactly i was thinking 6 months back, If you are serious enough to drive traffic to your new blogs. I got the solution to your problem. This is my honest review and trying these exact strategies on my blogs.

I am not going to say On Page SEO and Off Page SEO. I hope you know that or many have already told you to do.

Strategy #1:This is little bit hard but it will be easy if you love designing minimalistic images. Start a Pinterest Account and add Minimum 3-5 Images a day to your profile with Image Related Keywords. Just a quick Calculation 3 pins x 30 days = 90 pins min. So try to create Min 100 images in 30 days and use only LSI keywords related to the image topic. This way you can drive traffic to your new blog.(Similarly with Instagram)

Strategy #2 : Be active on Quora and Yahoo Answers. Try to Answer 5 questions a day on quora or yahoo answer together for the next 30 days which is 5 Answers x 30 days = 150 Questions. Doing so you can link to your blog post for at-least 50 Answer. Don't spam Answers with backlinks.

The above 2 strategies work better if you want to drive instant traffic that makes you happy.
