Most successful business people read all the time. They won't
tell you they read a book several years ago and that was it. So
keep reading. What type of site you develop depends upon the
product you are promoting. Don't worry about being a beginner
because everyone starts somewhere. I have found that if you
develop a professional website you shouldn't have any issues
getting approved by affiliate networks. You can always start off
with Clickbank, that is a great way to get into affiliate marketing.

    Hello Hassan!

Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn income but there
are a few things you need to know, so I would recommend
that you read a couple of books or watch some videos on
the subject. And then start doing because that is the best
    way to learn.

    Good Luck!!!

You need four things in affiliate marketing.
    1. Select your niche market.
    2. Create a web page to capture email of prospects.
    3. Market products and services to your email list.
    4. Digital marketing to bring traffic to your web page that you created in step 2.

A blog will work. Most people would use a WordPress blog. You do not need an ecommerce type site if you are selling affiliate information based products like anything found on JVZoo.

Affiliate Marketing is like being an online sales person and marketer all in one. You have to learn your audience, do research about what they are saying, hearing, what their hell is, and what their heaven is, etc. Then, you have to craft your message to those people.

If people tell you that you can just run an ad for a product without doing research, you will probably not be successful and have a large credit card bill.

There are many things you need to run a successful business. You need a website to blog and build sales funnels, you need an autoresponder to follow up with people who sign up for your email list. You will need training on how to run that business and engage with people organically, like this forum.

      thank you Jason,
these are really helpful tips like building a blog, but how can I bring people to my website?
and I'm also wondering if I should make website first then some content and after that maybe I can think about other details?
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11597674].message }}

You can run ads or you can go the organic route or both. I think the thing to do is create content. Your audience is out there, you just have to find them. I find this site to be a good way to help others and gain recognition, even if my posts are interpreted as self-promoting. There are people here that want to help. Forums are a great place to connect. You need to find other forums and places to start getting recognized. Video is good too, or maybe podcasting will be your thing. If you set up a site, make sure your social media profiles point to it. Maybe even throw it in the banner graphic to show people your site. If you are going to run ads, get good training on how to research your audiences. You are the perfect avatar, you know what your pains and wanted gains are, so don't even run ads until you research your market.

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offers for over 19 years. However, I do things differently than most.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get, or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross-promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the PPL offers that I promote pay $15-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

I have also done just as good with dating website sign-ups and pretty good with free trial + S/H offers. I also promote a very limited number of offers that are straight sales. For them, mass appeal is still the number one thing I look for and I also look for one of the following...

    1) The product is new and/or novel-unique and you can't purchase it locally or even something similar. I don't waste my time with it once something similar shows up in Walmart.

    2) The buyer can truly get what is being offered at a decent discount.

    3) Solves a house is on fire type problem.

However, I mainly promote non-PPL offers on the backend.

Bottom line, it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

    Something to think about.

Hi Diablo, which PPL sites can you recommend?
I am as well very new to the affiliate market. As I have started reading about it during the Corona months, I am slowly getting into it and try this and that.

you most likely will need a landing page in order to collect emails from your subscribers and to follow up with them.
the key to affiliate marketing success nowadays is to promote high ticket offers, because that way you end up in profit

    Hello and welcome!

Affiliate marketing is a very good choice, as you could start promoting any affiliate offer without spending any money, just using free traffic sources.

To learn more about affiliate marketing I would suggest searching this topic on warrior forum (I am sure you will find plenty of similar topics and plenty of quality info) and of course you should use youtube for information about aff marketing.

    Good luck!

You should focus on developing only one skill: seo, social marketing, email marketing.
I think new people should start with social, such as developing an Instagram account or tiktok

  • Hi Hassan,

For a beginner of Affiliate Marketing, apart from understanding the general idea of what it is all about, it is important to understand the key thing of generating traffic. Traffic to buy from you. You have both the paid traffic, which most of you already know and the free traffic, which is organic traffic from different sources.

I think having a mentor to guide and advise you will also help you to scale up faster. Something for you to think about. I am also into affiliate marketing and I have my mentor guiding me along to make my journey a little easier without groping too much in the dark.

Wishing you the best in your journey.

You'll get a lot of answers about the technical stuff you need to do. Yes you need to do them, but if you don't get exposure to your affiliate offers, you won't sell anything, so ask yourself: how can I generate traffic? What can I give people to atract them, so I can collect their emails and they offer affiliate products?

Think about creating a blog or a youtube channel, you need an asset so people can follow, trust you, and accept the offers you suggest them.

Those take some time of course to generate results if you can't wait you can invest money, for example buying solo ads, facebook/instagram ads, etc.

    Hey Hassan,

Firstly understand that affiliate marketing is basically your a sales person online, rather then stand in a store and sell products and get paid a commission your doing it online. Once you got that mindset then you need to follow the steps below:

    1. Pick a market you wish to go into ( Health, Make Money, Dating, Hobbies, )
Those are the 4 main markets that we tend to base our lives around, you will then need to further break down the market into sub-markets:

    Example:
    Market: Health
    Sub-Market: Weight loss

This will take you further into more niche markets like "weightloss for women" weightloss for men over 40" etc etc...

    2. You then need to find a problem that people are having in that market place, the best way to find this information out is by joining forums facebook groups and reading what kind of problems people are suffering from where they need help. Your basically trying to find thier pain point.

    3. Find products that will help solve your potential customers problems, once you have found them you simply contact the company and find out if they have an 'affiliate program' that you can join.

    4. then you need to create a blog using wordpress ideally, where you will place your product on a blogpost and write up an article explaing the benefits of the product not the features. The benefits are where your showing how it solves your customers problems.

    5. next you need to put that product in front of your customers, this is where traffic comes into action. You can use free methods and paid methods.

    6. There are a few types of affiliate business models:

    a. Setting up a blog to promote products and writing up articles but also collecting emails.

    b. Set up a landing page collecting email address, through an autoresponder such as (aweber, get response), and you begin to sell products through emails over time.

Either model works just test both of them, but above all be ethical in how you sell the products always be solving peoples problems and help ease thier pains dont think of the whole freedom lifestyle affiliate marketing gets you think more solving peoples problems.

Well this is something I thought might help you in a nutshell and give you some direction hope it helps and shines some light for you

    Regards

If you are just about to get started with affiliate marketing, I'd suggest you first learn the basics of affiliate marketing which will help you get the right mindset, lest you slide back months later and quit when success is near. You need affiliate marketing certification, affiliate bootcamp courses, and need to complete tasks that will lead you to building a profit-ready website for your proposed affiliate marketing business.
