Are Autoblogs still a thing in 2020?

Hi! I used to do some autoblogging years ago, and a job stopped me from continuing the journey. Since i thought it was fun and all I was wondering if this concept is still working in 2020 or if I should focus on other things to earn money online?

I am/(used to be, depending on corona) a airbnb host, so my workload is like super low at the monent, pretty much like my income.

I am looking for methods to get a new income stream, I know myself around basic graphics stuff, web stuff/wordpress and I can edit videos/audio.

Used to do affiliating in the past as well which I am trying right now using ppc campaigns, currently trying to loot out good converting offers to my traffic.

What would you recommend?

  • Hi,

Autoblogging sounds interesting. Care to share more how it works so I could share if it works ? I am sure with your skills, you can easily find freelance or ad-hoc project from portals like Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer.com, etc. Your skills are still very much in demand.

    Keep going !

ok, so I started out with 3 blogs 2 weeks ago.

    one about dogpictures

    one about pictures of tyrol

and one about poker news articles

So far I made 1€ in Ad Revenue, which isnt that bad i guess considering I just started the journey. If I remain on the current income I will make around 57€/year with the 3 sites.

Additionaly I started an image hosting site, since I have quite some storage left on my main hosting account, so I decided to give this path a go too...

If youre interested in the project, one tld is an emd with .net ending, the other platform is called pixstash. Feel free to use it for image uploading

I have one more autoblog in preparation which will be a general news blog with local and international news.

One thing I´ve realized, google isnt as stupid as it used to be. In the old days I was able to use transposh auto translate plugin and get them translated sites indexed in no time. Nowadays google seems to not index such sites at all.

However, traffic is traffic, even if it doesnt come from google, so what i tried is twitter autoposting, facebook autoposting and tumblr feeding and it seems to be working, it is not much traffic I generate each day per blog, but it is traffic, considering it takes me 2-5 hours / blog to setup, depending on the love i spend on it, it could work out well.

One thing i was thinking of, since I dont get much google traffic anyways, to use free domain services like dot.tk or co.cc, since the traffic comes from social media feeds i guess it doesnt matter if its dot.tk or dot.net/com etc. What do you guys think?

Also I found resellercluster.com, anyone has experiences with them? I have a few clients and I would love to migrate them to a service like this where they get billed automatically, can up/downgrade order new services etc.

Eventually, you will need to create 100s of sites that earn 1€ in Ad Revenue monthly to earn a "real" income and if you go the autoblog route those sites will eventually be de-indexed by Google, so there will be no organic traffic.

I believe that autoblogs are a thing and will continue to
be a thing for several years. Just make sure that when
you set one up you are using an evergreen topic.

I would only use .com or other TLDs for my domains so
that if you decide to sell them in the future they will have
    a wider appeal.

And I would advise you not to divulge your niches on a
public forum unless you want countless competition of
people setting up the same exact thing. Some people
    aren't very imaginative.
