Does off page still gives more benefit then on page in 2020?

Actually I have been working for a website for quite some time. It's a website of a taxi company named Global Executive Cars based in the UK. I made a lot of backlinks and made the content of my landing pages unique. But still, my website is struggling in terms of better ranking. Kindly help me out and let me know what I am doing wrong.

    well done on creating your website.


    On page SEO is important.


    I have found one off page technique, which is very effective and very straight forward.


    Create a short video. This can be about taxis in general if you like.
    The important thing is to have a link to your website in the description below the video.


    Also have up to 250 words in the description.


    This will bring your website up in the Google, because Google owns Youtube.


    This has worked a treat for me over the years - I have a lot of web pages on the first page of Google, often showing the video on Youtube as well.


    It is an enjoyable method that works well and you will often notice an improvement in your page rank within a day!

    Your backlinks have to be relevant to the keywords you want to rank for.

    Examine your competitors websites and see where they get their links from and try to get links from the same place. Use tools like Ahrefs, Moz or SEMRush.

    Probably, however, it's next to impossible to get real, credible backlinks from respected websites without great content.

      Yes, that's true - but it bumps your page up in Google without having to wait months via normal SEO.
