Creating a problem and selling the solution

Hello, warriors. I have a question. Have you ever heard of creating a problem (that which is legal) and selling the solution? In other words creating urgency to buy your product or service. I hear corporates follow this strategy. Any experiences in this?

Sounds like Porn Virus and Antivirus Malware 101.
  • All selling is about problems and solutions. Nobody buys something just for the heck of it. People buy solutions to problems, real or perceived.

Someone who buys a plunger does so to solve a messy problem. Someone who buys food is hungry (or will be hungry in the future). Someone who HAS TO buy a Rolex or a Ferrari has different problems they are trying to solve (such as "I need to look cool" or "I need to show everybody I have money").

The key to sales has always been identifying a problem and showing that your product is the solution. I don't know that that is "creating" a problem. More accurately, it is highlighting a problem or placing a seed of doubt that someone may have a problem and offering a solution. It's a concept taught in all marketing classes. In fact, I'm sure it is the basis for the majority of Viagra sales!

Well I do laugh out loud at the Click Bank YouTube Gurus with a Pile of Cash Stacks on their Desk but still it's only perceived to be a problem.

Sometimes when you enter certain circles you blend in and it is very advantageous because like it or not we are all framed in seconds and if you are entrepreneur it can be a chess move depending on the scenario.

I really do not think in 2020 we need to create anymore problems.

And some people are getting rich as I type this. Opportunities everywhere we use our Entre Eyes.
  • Problems already exist and do not need to be created. You need to get in the mindset of your ideal customer.

    Lets take a fictitious example:

21 year old uni student. Acne problem. Lack of self esteem with girls and peer group. Fear of rejection. Constantly looking for a solution. Needs to fix quickly. Meant to be living the best years of his life etc.

Right you have the ideal customer, now address his problems and overcome them with your product.
  • Well i think you complicate too much and i dont like this .In this world are millions of problems where people need a solution .Why you just dont come simple with the solution ,dont create another problems
  • Its not create problem its find a problem and show your solution to that specific problem with your product or service. You do that with research, with questions, with problems you had and solved. NOW you get it
  • You don't need to create problems to offers solutions for when there are ton of them out there.

Identifying problems and offerings the solution is much more effective.
  • this is what the entire big pharma industry is built on... all of the anti depressants, anti psychotic, anti pain and whatnot, those are problems that were created in order to sell a solution... heck, they did it so well, it created an opioid epidemic and they have the audacity to now create solutions to that particular problem... I have to say though it works like a charm
