Tit Tok as a traffic source.

Guys,so I was trying to promote clickbank and some e-commerce products on tik tok and failed miserably I have around 9000 clicks and 0 conversions, how is it possible?

All that was US geo,all products were not really expensive,30-80$ range, and I was sending them directly to offer page,no landing pages.
I can understand if it was only a few sales, but 0 !!

I'm a beginner,maybe it's a usual situation?

  • Hi ! I am not a user of Tik-Tok and I do not think it would be part of my life routine to have Tik-Tok as my way of passing time.

However, I believe people who are in Tik-Tok are definitely not there to purchase e-products or any e-commerce products. I am unclear whty would you choose Tik-Tok as a medium to promote clickbank products but do ensure that the target audience of your products and the profile of the Tik-Tok users are in sync. Most Tik-Tok users are young so does the product that you were promoting appeal to them ?

Only you can answer to this question. Hence, you may want to review your target market, research and understand where does yourtarget audience shop and their buying behaviour.

    Why did you choose Tik-Tok?

You need to advertise where likely buyers spend time.
You are better off doing it if whatever they spend time on is inducive to selling.

So, since you got 9000 clicks, I assume you got those two covered. And the ad was interesting / well done.

The only two things that remain are:
There's a disconnect between your ad and the sale page or
Many of them bought but you're not getting the credit. Either because the seller's a big schmuck and outright stealing from you (not that likely) or a small schmuck (more likely) and has an optin form on the site and ends up selling your visitors from follow up emails and, therefore, gives themselves credit for the sale.

Is the seller competing with the affiliates? (Is there an optin on the site you're sending traffic to?)

Do you try to change the product ,maybe the product its not good .Also i dont think people buy much on tik tok as its an entertainment site .I think maybe you can buy an email list and after that build a relationship and try to sell clickbank products

you only said that they were from the US but that doesn't mean that you were targeting the right people for your product in the US.

Make sure to exactly know who your potential customers are that need your product.

All your traffic should go to your own opt in page.

Do not sell directly! You better give them a free membership to something useful to make them return to your site... and then sell them in the back after sometime.

Even though TikTok is banned in India and US, it is still a cool source of high quality traffic, at least now

When you choose a traffic source you should always be thinking about the people who will be seeing your content. Now the people on Tik Tok are usually kids who don't have money to spend. They are also just scrolling and checking out videos. If it doesn't relate to something they are interested in then they won't click.

Maybe if you tried something in the makeup niche you might get some responses, but it's still pie in the sky. People on that platform just want to watch videos to pass some time and be entertained.

In the end it's all about testing different ideas and seeing what works. If it doesn't work out over the long term then you should just switch to another traffic source and see what happens.

Tiktok seems to be mainly for kids having fun. Have you ever tried creating a Tiktok video as a full adult and see how ridiculous you look?

It's for the younger generation who are probably still spoonfed by their parents who have the money to spend on a product like yours and who most likely do not spend time on Tiktok but on other platforms like Facebook.

So, have a rethink about considering tiktok as your traffic source and restrategize your marketing tactics.

I know some tik tok users who have millions of or hundreds of thousand followers. Some of them may make thousands of dollars a month, and some of them make no money at all.

How could a user who has hundreds of thousand followers usually get a few hundred "likes" per video?
Does tiktok inflate the number of followers? I suspect.

With most of the restrictions on Tiktok, its getting pretty tough to get traffic.
Anyone have any active earning through this platform?

Before marketing, you should see your audience. On Tik-Tok most of the users are kids and instead of Tik-Tok you can promote your product on Facebook and Instagram but keep in mind the targeted audience.

Tiktok is killing it.I know people making $10K a month. You need to put content on tiktok relevant to your offer 9000 is nothing on TikTok. Yes you will get a lot that are not interested, you'lle get haters, everything. You need to post at least 3-4 times a day. Tags are important for your audience go for longtail tags less competition
