The answer is yes and no.


It depends on what you do with the people who click on your ads.


It depends on how many people you get to buy.


If you get their email addresses, you get to promote to them again and again, so you could end up doing great.


A lot has to do with how good you are at creating ads, at figuring out who to target, at writing email subject lines, email messages.


It could be really expensive or a great investment.

Hi ! Being completely new, I can understand that the money spent on paid ads can take a toll on one. Perhaps the key is a good balance between paid and free traffic sources. It really depends on how eager you want to see results. If you want to see results fast, this means that you will have to spend more on paid advertising and it is also not as straight forward as you think as you will need to test the ad copy, etc to see which copy gives you the best result. Testing the ads will definitely means spending more.

The best balance in my opinion is to have 2 traffic sources, one paid and one free. Free sources can include followers from your Fan Page, Blog, Forums, Q&A, etc.

Hope my thought above sets you to a certain direction.

Well you need to test to be able to know as nobody can give you an acurate answer because they are too many variables : your keywords ,landing page ,traffic source offer demographics and many other things .I think its a good idea to test with a small amount of budget to see how it goes

If you know what you're doing then it can be worth it, but as you already said you don't have experience in paid advertising so I guess there is a high chance of losing money because you are offering low ticket products.


My advice for paid advertsing is that you should really try to find a product with a proven sales funnel that also enables you to sell high ticket items in the backend of your funnel.


I don't know how much knowledge you have atm, but in case you have no idea what I mean I explain it with an example:


Promote a product that costs only between $1 to $15. When people buy it they should get redirected to additional offers within the funnel, the next offer should automatically be around $40 - $50, then the next offer $100 - $200, the next one can already be $1000 or more.


The reason why this works so well is that one single customer who purchases your product which was only $1 - $15 could potentially lead to a $1000+ sale.


It's simply the best way in order to end up in profit when you are doing paid advertising instead of losing money.
