Finding a niche in the Cannabis industry, how to monetize it and YMYL?

Hi all.

I just signed up and I'm happy to be here.

After a couple years doing FBA with little success, I decided to dedicate the next coming months to creating a profitable niche website. I'm a newbie in this field so I spent the last few weeks watching several hour long videos on YouTube and reading. While trying to absorb all this information I just want to get started so that I can learn as I go.

So the first thing why I'm reaching out for some help is with finding a niche. I compiled a list of hobbies, passions, interests, things I bought, used etc... and I just gravitate to do something in the cannabis industry. I'm a passionate small scale hobby cultivator myself and although I have no educational background in biology, I do have enough experience and knowledge to guide first time growers to a successful crop, solve problems and have discussions and exchange information with more experienced growers. I'm member of a couple grow forums with thousands of posts as I'm really passionate about this.

This makes me wonder if I can use my experience, knowledge and interest in growing to create a niche site and how should the site be monetized?

I brainstormed the following sub niches/topics/ideas:

x Growing Tutorials, how to's, guides on different grow topics. I can find a lot of questions in forums already that I can answer sharing my own experience.
x Stealth Grow, silent Grow, Closet Grow, Mini Grow
x Plant Training
x Curing Process and curing products
x Seed Grow Review, seed selection assistant, selling seeds, breeding
x Grow Equipment/Product Review
x Organic Pest Control, products, recipes
x CBD under 1% THC, offer seeds,
x Organic Soil niche
x Vegan Soil niche
x Cloning and Germinating products and how to's
x Perpetual Grow Box DIY build
x Concentrate Making.. edibles, oil, pills,
x Cannabis Terpene profile, products
x Vaping / Cartridge making products

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but above is a list of "niched down" ideas within the cannabis market. There are established websites and forums that cover pretty much all those topics / sub niches already.

1. Should I still focus on one sub niche, as recommended by some gurus I've listened to?
I'm questioning this, because let's say I choose the "stealth grow subniche"... how should I compete against the established forums and authority sites that also cover this topic and also offer much more?

2. How do I find out which of these topics are profitable and easy to rank for? Basically, how do I know which of the listed ones I should choose? (I didn't brainstorm long to make that list, I could
probably think of some more...)

3. ... Or, should I stay away from anything related to cannabis because of YMYL? Are there workarounds? For example, avoid providing medical / health related recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Gonna start here, FBA is tough, if you at least broke even with FBA, you might want to look atthis: ( https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...days-ebay.html ) and try your hand at eBay, as you get things going with your new endeavor.

    3. ... Or, should I stay away from anything related to cannabis because of YMYL? Are there workarounds? For example, avoid providing medical / health related recommendations?
So right off the bat, I would stray away from Terpene, CBD, pest control and Vaping. I would not in any way shape of form discuss "benefits" etc in the use of. You really do want to stay away from YMYL... and as long as you are "growing" and gardening you will be fine

Those removed, and all the topics you have listed are basically all "Growing" correct?

Niching in this case might look something like how to grow Blackberry Kush Feminized Cannabis Seeds and I really dont think you have to go that far. If you grow a variety of seeds anyways, then YES I would drop this far.

This will be the second time today that I have said this, what you want to do is "Document". dont for 2 seconds think you are going to compete... you are setting yourself up for failure.

YOU love doing this, website or not, YOU will still grow. and its THAT, that is your strength. Its a passion and be it videos on youtube, or writing blog posts, that passion will show through. People will consume your content for YOU more so than the topic itself.

So juststart your journey from the beginning...

I live in X state can I grow, and how much can I grow..answer the BASIC questions Post #1 and done
Hey, I want to grow my own plants, what do I need? Post #2 and done.
How to plant Post #3 done
How much light, and how much water
And the list goes on and on

Monetizing is very basic to start...

    Seed bank affiliates:
    • Seed Supreme
    • Paradise Seeds
    • Weed Seed Shop
    • I Love Growing Marijuana
    • Sensi Seeds
    • Amsterdam Seed Center
    • Seedsman
    • High Supplies
    • Sensible Seeds
    • Sunwest Genetics

Become a Amazon affiliate... lights, pots, trays, soil automatic watering systems whatever YOU use, provide a link Super easy.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do is continue doing what you are doing and that is remain active on all the platforms you share and learn and teach from. You have been and will continue to build AUTHORITY.

On all the forums etc that you are on, including this one, check to see if there is a place in your user bio to add your sites URL

Get a matchy matchy Twitter and Instagram account ( matching your site URL ) you can use a tool like ( https://www.namecheckr.com/ ) to check this

Get active on both Twitter and Instagram in the community. Look up Gary Vaynerchuks video on the $1.80 Instagram strategy - apply the same thing to twitter.

Again, you are going it because you love it... dont make this work... "Success" is not going to happen over night.. you are not going to conquer the world in a day. Just do YOU, and document it.

    Hope that Helps!
