How do i remove these outdated search results?

Google search results are displaying some pages 2 times. The only difference between the two is that i updated the title and meta description. How do i remove or delete the search result/snippet with old title and meta description?

You can't. What you put as a Title and meta description is only a suggestion that Google may or may not use.

I see. There is another problem. The URLs for the two pages are different. (There are "mydomain.com" and "https://mydomain.com"). These URLs redirect to the same page after you click on them which is the https one. The one without https is also not showing favicon, so its really bothering/worrying. Is this normal? Should i do something about it?

How is that a problem with the favicon? People are automatically arriving on the correct page so they'll never know that the page they won't ever see doesn't have a favicon (as if anybody cares about a favicon anyway). I'm not sure why anyone would arrive on the http page if it is re-directing to the https page so again, I don't see the problem. Only you will ever be aware that the non-https page exists.

    1. Log into Google Search Console. If you haven't set it up - https://developers.google.com/search...er/get-started

    2. On the menu. Select Removal to remove the outdated pages.

    3. Also it helps to have rel canonical set. https://developers.google.com/search...duplicate-urls

    4. Having a standardized URL format avoid duplicate pages. For example, https://www.yoursite.com and https://yoursite.com are two different pages for the search engines. Good practise is to redirect the other formats to one standard format to avoid this. try typing https://www.apple.com, htttps://apple.com, http://apple.com. https://www.apple.com/ to see this in action. All these URLs always redirect to one standard format - https://www.apple.com

    Hope this helps!
