How to Promote posts for a News Website?

Hi guys,

I have started a news website focusing on celebrity latest news. Can you please guide me on the ways i can promote the posts published? For the News website, you need to rank the post immediately as everyone is looking for the news. After 2,3 days nobody will look for them.

Need an expert opinion as to where can i promote the posts and what strategies i should use.

For Example,
Katie Price hints that she won Celebrity Masterchef before the series even starts

Now guide me on where to promote this post as traditional SEO techniques and Linkbuilding will not rank it immediately.

Thanks.

You are asking for 'coaching' and this forum is full of advice on how to rank sites and how to get traffic. You need to do some reading here.

Nothing will 'rank it immediately' except have a highly ranked site where every new post is featured on SE's. A new, lower ranked site with the same news headline will be more like an 'echo'. There is no magic trick that will push a new site ahead of authority sites that are highly ranked.

Then what strategy should i use to generate traffic besides SEO?

this forum is full of advice on how to rank sites and how to get traffic. You need to do some reading here.

Repeating myself...read the forum - learn to use forum search to find POSTS about how to rank sites. It is a common subject so lots of info here about 'how to rank' and 'how to get traffic'.

Asking people here what to do without explaining what you have tried so far...won't help you. Where are you getting your 'news'? Are you writing your own content? Where are you advertising? How much is your ad spend? What is your target audience? Are you competing with authority sites?

I might suggest that "News" sites are a bit different than your average site. you might want to read: ( https://support.google.com/news/publ.../9607025?hl=en ) and find out from the "source" as it were what you might need to do. Kinda everything you need to know is right there on that page ( including the links to the right )

    Hope that Helps!

If its a trend that is on the rise you need to make sure that you use the correct keywords that people are using to look for the news or trend. You can either use google trend or answer the public to look for keywords and queries. If you have those in your content or news you'll be ranked automatically. Similarly, if you are looking for traffic try sharing your post, news or blog on social media and various communities to gain traction.

Ranking higher on search engines against a high-ranking website will take time. There is no shortcut. Learn about SEO and implement techniques.

Or, you can run paid ads.

    Hi Azulfi

I agree with Tobi. For a news website, ads are the first focus. There are several ad networks that are suitable for news sites.
