Hi Warriors!
I have a huge passion towards creating a gaming youtube channel.
Are those games free for playing ? No copyrights scares ?
What about the channel section? should I switch it for kids or not ?
Thanks guys.

  • Hi Ossikra

Do you mean you would like to create a channel where you play games and livestream or review games?

There should be no copyright issues with either of these.

    • Lots of people are doing that in YouTube. One YouTuber called DanTDM or Daniel Middleton is now a millionaire all by just playing games while commenting on it. He's good at it though. So yes, by all means go for it! You can play any games you want, you won't infringe any copyright, it's a win/win, the game producer will love it. Goodluck (y)

    • Hi bro.
Yes playing games and leaving them to the audience.
  • at least you should not tick the box where youtube asks you whether the content is only for people over 18 years old
  • I think it would be better to switch for kids. Because kids channel has lots of demand today in this pandemic situation.
  • I watch a lot of BennyCentral. He livestreams Warzone. He used to be a pro player so that helped him get established, but even so there are so many opportunities on YouTube. I've had a lot more initial success there than with blogging.

I find BennyCentral good because he streams during the working day (less competition than during the evenings) and also he is a good conversationalist. He varies the players he plays with too. Oh and he has pro equipment too (which is becoming essential in the business).

Just read about streaming before you start. For example streaming copyright music could get you copyright strikes (so turn the in-game music off). Also gaming companies (ahem, Activision) do not like negativity being shown towards their fanboys (the A list streamers).

Also don't worry if you don't have that many people watching you livestream. Just 20 people watching you for a few hours a week can really help boost your watch hours.
  • Sure, you can do that. The problem you will face is that others are already doing it, but that shouldn't hold you back from not doing it. Just think of ways to stand out from the rest, and I would suggest going after ranking on keywords that people might be searching for. Growing these channels with word-of-mouth alone takes a long time (depending on your network).
