A .org domain expired in September, I registered it in January and we're slowly adding content to our site. The name is nothing special, sixteen letters, very unusual actually, but it fits with our content. GoDaddy contacted me via the registrar, apparently on behalf of a third party, to purchase the domain in March. They offered just a couple of hundred bucks.
GoDaddy?

GoDaddy contacted me via the registrar, apparently on behalf of a third party, to purchase the domain in March. They offered just a couple of hundred bucks.
I replied thanking them and mentioning it wasn't for sale and heard nothing until yesterday when they significantly increased the offer to low four figures.
Is GoDaddy legit for these transactions?
What's the protocol?
