You are the only one who can determine what went wrong
and you may never know what happened. I wish I knew
what you were trying to do.

Here's some speculation and I could be wrong.

    1) Influencer provided fake statistics in order to get people
    like you to pay $2,000.

    2) You were trying to promote/sell something that nobody
    was interested in.

    3) You did not provide influencer with a script for what to
say on the video and they winged it, resulting in a mess.

    4) You may have chosen the wrong influencer.

    5) Your pricing was off.

    6) and on and on.

It happens to the best of us. I could have bought a
Cadillac with all the money I've wasted on this and
that over the years. Things like paying people to do
work that never got done or the result was lacking.

Don't let this bad experience keep you down.
    Live, learn and carry on.

Well, yeah, there are a lot of possible reasons of this results, why don't you ask your influencer what could happened. He must be doing this all the time, so he must know some insights

    Hi,

    Could be several factors.

Can you share the link for more insight? (is that allowed, newbie to the site)

    Hi Roshan

What do you mean result is zero. Do you have an e-commerce brand and your sales were zero? Or was it an engagement post and your follower increase was zero?

12,000 clicks is significant. Are you sure your offer is not the problem?

No matter how bad the landing page or the product sold was, if there is a buy now button, someone should have clicked it you had 12000+ real visitors on that page.

I put my bet on fake traffic. You can determine if the traffic was real based on what they did on your website. You should consider installing some tracking script, to see what they are doing on the website.

Using the right tools you can easily determine if the traffic was real or not.
Also, if you have tracking tools installed, look at they behavior flow, if they clicked on other links, how long they stayed on the page, etc.

No way of determining the actual and real reason why it failed. Perhaps the product you were trying to sell is something that doesn't interest your audience.

Its always the fault of the buyer, not the seller. They sell you guaranteed traffic and sales and then they say its your responsability. 12.000 visitors and no sales its hard to believe, unless the buy now button is broken.

There are bad landing pages that still makes a sale every 200-300 visitors.

to put it bluntly you sent $2000 worth of traffic to a page that was untested - and it failed miserably. You GOT the traffic - you GOT your $2000 worth. what happened after that is in no way the fault of the "influencer" it has anything and everything to do with where you sent that traffic.

As noted, even a bad page will get at least a conversion or 2... hate to say it like that, but your lander had to have been real bad.

Did you send the traffic to a specific page that sold a specific item, as in here is some info and click here to buy now? OR was it more in line with a link to say the homepage of your website? I am going to put myself out on a limb here and suggest it was the later of the 2.

Influencers don't give you any guarantees on traffic or conversions, Your payment to them for the shout out (access to their audience and them endorsing your brand). Even if he had gotten zero traffic the infulencer would still have been paid. It's unlikely that the Influencer would be bothered sending fake traffic to his site.

My biggest question right now is: Why on earth did you spend $2000 for this traffic in the first place?

Since your results are so bad and you have no idea why I assume that you did not order from this person before, did you??

When you pay for traffic on a new platform or with a new seller please ALWAYS start and test with a small amount of money. (unless you are rich and $2000 are for you like paying for a pizza)

Did the video post go to a website?

Was it working when traffic was sent there?

    Like to get more answers.
