Clickbank Troubles Account Disabled after creating and filling in profile

Guys I went and tried create a new clickbank account a few days ago because my old account was disabled from not using it. I could not get new account approved. It would create and then I would fill in the profile. I know a lot of new people are running into the same issue. Anyways see message below.

I contacted Clickbank support and got a message back today. Clickbank is not approving affiliates for my geographical area due to high rates of affiliate fraud they need proof of location. They send send them proof via passport and proof of address to clickbank support to get my new account activated. I assume that means they had issues with affiliates doing something to get banned and then creating new accounts so they are not autoapproving new accounts. Maybe people trying to sign up from countries that are banned by clickbank via vpn caused then to manually verify every person before approval.

Message from email from Clickbank support,"Thank you for contacting us regarding the difficulties you have experienced while attempting to register for a ClickBank account! I sincerely apologize for the frustrations!

Unfortunately, we have recently experienced an increase in affiliate fraud in your geographical area. To better protect our company and our clients, we just need to have you provide a valid passport or ID and proof of address before we can complete your sign up.

Please submit a copy of your current passport or ID and the proof of address through the following form (you will see an "Add File" link at the bottom of the form):

https://support.clickbank.com/hc/en-us/requests/new "

Rob Lee

Did you do that and did it solve the problem? I don't know if this is a new practice by CB - don't use them any longer. I know from this forum that many 'marketers' think nothing about providing a false location so....

Are you using a VPN? Are you from a different country than your profile says you are or are you logging in from a different place than your profile address?

I can't imagine Fort Wayne, Indiana being a hotbed of fraud and singled out by CB and them requiring anyone from Indiana to provide their passport when we all know that Iowa is the real bad place.

No I don't use VPN it is just that clickbank has had a lot of troubles with people faking they are from america I believe. They said affiliate fraud what ever that is. So now they make people prove it. VPN will not help you because they want you to send proof with ID or passport and proof of address. Not a problem for me I live in USA. I seen a lot of people from India were having same issue when they siged up for new account. Yes I believe will work I just have not got to it yet today since I got email yesterday.

The big issue was clickbank just disables your account and tell you no reason why. You have to contact support to get them to tell you what is up. Seemed strange to me. That is why I wanted to explain what happend so others knows what is going on.

I agree it's odd to just disable accts - I wonder if the problem has become so invasive they have to be pro-active and start vetting even long term users.

Since we've been in pandemic mode, everybody and their brother is
trying to get into internet marketing and the first place that most of
them go to is ClickBank. CB is probably being inundated with new
accounts and just trying to keep things under control. OP I think
that you would get better results by requesting that they reinstate
your de-activated account, that way you will have longevity.

Yeah that was first thing I did was try to get them to reinstate the old account but they told me to make a new one with a new email. Then I ran into the new issue of them disabling automatically new clickbank accounts.

I feel your pain and I hope it works out.
If not, there are some other digital product
      marketplaces now. They aren't Clickbank
but they would work in a pinch.
