Next, you want to optimize images by making sure you are serving the correct sized image for the container it's in. This helps a lot because it reduces image sizes thus saving bandwidth, preventing your website from shifting around, and causing your website to load faster. You can also lazy load images below the fold or less important ones. If you are using WordPress you can use the Autoptimze and WP Rocket plugins. There's a lot of things you can do to tweak your website and to really make your site fast you should probably hire somebody. Also, don't get too caught up on your scores and focus more on user experience. As long as the website loads fast for you and feels snappy then that's all that matters.

As you have used Google page speed insight, the tool itself gives you the information of where you need to pay attention. Image sizes are one of the easiest and quick ways to improve speed.

It's really difficult to get a high score if you do not have much technical knowledge. The things you can use are -
1. Get some good hosting, Amazon is the best. Use WP or if it's simple then normal HTML can works,
2. For WP get some fast-loading theme (kadence is my new favorite + It free)
3. Add some plugins to optimize the site. I use WP Rocket plugins
4. Use CDN from Cloudflare (Free)
5. When you add an image make sure it's compressed. Hope this can help. I hope this can help

Are you able to provide more information about the site, perhaps a screenshot of a GTMetrix report or similar? Typically, the culprit in a lot of cases is optimization that needs to be addressed.

Is your website on WordPress? If yes - one of the big things that slow down the website is the theme itself. If you can still change your theme (and have time to experiment), you can test out different themes and see if it is making any difference.

Next, if I have too many plugins installed, I'll start by deleting the ones that are not in use. Also, check your "additional CSS" to see if there are lines of code that aren't doing anything and can be removed.

CDN, images, etc have a huge impact on page speed - use Smush image compressor to do the work.

If all fails, there is nothing wrong with hiring someone from Fiverr. In the end, you will end up learning from them.

When it comes to improving page load speed, the first emphasis should be on which theme are you currently using? It's not all about plugins at all times. Sometimes, your theme might be the source of the problem with your page speed.


So, I would suggest you try out Astra WordPress Theme. If possible, upgrade to Astra Pro. It's extremely lightweight and responsive. It's my favorite theme and I don't have plans changing it. It's kept my page speed at the upper 90s.
