After getting your website live, Wordpress provides few plugins that can really help you to prepare your website for Google indexing. Few important check points that you should follow:
    1. Meta Tags for each page have been updated with keywords.
    2. Content present on the website should be unique, content should not be copied.
    3. Check for sitemap. Every URL present on the website is should be present on Sitemap file.
    4. Check if no important pages have no index tag. Robots.txt file should be updated.
    5. Check your website is mobile friendly, you can do this by reviewing your website through different tools.
    6. Resolve other on page errors like canonicalization errors, H1 tags, Image alt tag.
    7. Create a Google console Id and fetch your website from there, and Google will start indexing your website.

Hi Ryan what do you mean prepare it for Google? Is it a blog or affiliate site? Are you trying to rank for organic keywords? If you are trying to rank in search you'll need to focus on keyword research, good quality content, link building etc.

To prepare for google the best way is:
Do the competitor research & make a list of their strengths & weakness.
Write amazing content on your website.
    Choose the best domain name.

First of all write a content with keyword research.
Keyword research must before writing content.
Second focus on on page seo term.
After this try to work on offpage seo and links building.
Backlinks helps you for rank your site

    Hi Ryan,

For getting organic traffic for your website, focus on writing quality content (that would benefit the reader) - more the number of words, the better - but it shouldn't be at the cost of making the content redundant. Please do not keyword-stuff!

As for the tools that could help you with SEO - I strongly recommend buying Yoast SEO plugin. I have an affiliate site of my own - this plugin more than serves its purpose.

For keyword research, I used Google's Keyword finder (free tool) AND Neil Patel's Ubersuggest (paid). UberSuggest is particularly helpful with questions/long-tail keywords. Many of my pages rank well thanks to UberSuggest. And no - I'm not a paid sponsor. I genuinely love the tool.

    Good luck!

Hi Ryan, Firstly congrats on your new website - it's going to be popular soon.

    1. I would Install and Upgrade the Yoast SEO plugin. I own 4 WordPress websites and all of them have the Yoast SEO plugin. It will take care of getting the SEO part right - if from your end you fill all the details in as much as possible. As for the details part, ie "keywords"- I use a combination of UberSuggest (by Neil Patel) and Google Keywords Finder.

    2. Connect your website to Google Analytics, Search Console and once your site is up and running, Hotjar also, so you can start monitoring how users behave on your website, so you can start working on making the fixes as needed to make your website people/google friendly.

You should focus on your content with the help of the Yoast SEO plugin which is provided by WordPress. This plugin removes the black hat from your content. Write thick content and don't copy from somewhere. Please check your website that, how many times it is taking for opening.

You do all of that and nothing good will happen to you.

You need to do something with your research results.
You need to get people to see your amazing content.
The best domain name? That's just silly. The 2nd, 3rd or 17th best domain name will do just fine if you get people to see your amazing content and if your amazing content converts.

The plugin does not remove any black hats.

It merely alerts you that you do not have the keyword in the right places, or you have it too many times or not enough.

None of that will do you any good by itself, except for very low competition keywords.

But it has no idea if you buy links on a bunch of websites that are linked together only so as to manipulate Google's algorithm, for instance.

The focus of your strategy should be to follow quality content with relevant keywords. Quality content will help people stand out and establish trust, so they can rank for keywords easily.
If you can put an emphasis on these three areas - Quality Content, Relevant Keywords and basic SEO- then you'll succeed in all aspects of Startup blogging.
    - Ensure that the frequency if posting is consistent each week
    - Become a helpful resource by publishing "How To" guides or step by step instructions about a topic related to the blog's niche
-make a google webmaster account and submit your site map in it(Tons of tutorials on YouTube)

What you need to build your new travel blog and make it successful include:
    • Getting an advanced keyword research tool such as Jaaxy
    • Creating quality, readable content everyday
    • Promoting your blog content on forums, Quora, social media, and elsewhere.
    • Building internal links and external links
    • Posting consistently and frequently
    • Using long-tail keywords
    • Choosing quality over quantity
    • Leaving comments on other people's blogs in your industry.

  • Hey, I just published my online store yesterday. I agree with everyone with writing compelling content. I mostly write and do my own art to support my blog, so I'm pretty content in that area for now.

I strongly suggest using the "less is more" approach. Allow yourself time and space to build traction and gain a feel for what really works for you and your skills. Link sharing is another great way to boost content recognition. Remember, a website without content (good or average) isn't a website... It's just a blank canvas.

I wish you the best of luck!
