What do you love and hate most about OOH advertising?

Hey all,
would love to hear your experiences advertising offline (as in outdoors/out-of-home): How did you approach it? Which product/platforms did you use? What did you like most about it? What did you hate? How accessible it would be for a small business to advertise on digital signage?

No personal experience, but big brands (Unilever, P&G, Uber, etc) often implement OOH on cabs, commuter buses, trains, and even lorries.

And of course, those billboards you see? They're also OOH.

Not noticed? How so? I mean, they're out on the streets and/or in crowded place where there's foot traffic. I'm sure they see more visibility than those I block on AdBlock.

Advertising agencies have carried out extensive research on this. People nearly always claim they don't pay any attention to billboards, street ads, subway ads etc. yet it's all part of a wider strategy.

When confronted by a range of similar products, the most heavily branded is usually the one that gets chosen, even if the consumer is unaware of what influenced that choice.

Yea I understand what you mean now.

Creativity is powerful. Especially when you can make people STOP and really absorb it.

Sometimes that may require some major budget or sometimes it can just be a perfectly executed "Flash Mob".

          But interactive is awesomeness.

I love this "Fun Theory" concept.

So - there is no point of ADVERTISING where a lot of people will SEE the ad?

All I can say is - good luck with that.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.
