How to affiliate marketers offer so many bonus products on their affiliate pages?

Hi there,

I've been reading too many affiliate digital products reviews lately (especially those of WP and JV) and what I'm not able to figure out is that how do these affiliates offer so many bonus products if someone buys from their link?

I mean did they create all these bonuses themselves? How can a newbie offer such bonuses to stand out from the competition?

Thank you.

Most of the time, bonuses are just there to hook you to buy the product.

Then when you are inside, you tend to forget about them and they are no where to be found in sight.

It is a marketing strategy to get people to make a purchase.

Since it is digital stuff it doesn't really cost anything to offer
a free report, time management tracker, or a link to a video.

People like getting FREE stuff, it doesn't even matter what
it is as long as they think it has value.

It can also be used to prompt people to buy right away when
you offer the freebies for a limited time, or to a limited number
    of people.

We see this done in advertising all the time.

There are plenty of PLR sites where you can get free reports, ebooks, training videos, etc or pay a small fee if it is a one-time purchase. Usually there is a monthy subscription for the best deals. If interested, you might want to start out with a search for 'free plr sites'.

This your question took me too some time before I figured it out.
Giving bonuses as an affiliate, like you ask how did this affiliate get the bonuses they offer? Well some of this affiliate are product creator themselves, and they offer their own past products as a bonus sometimes.

But as a beginner with no experience or product to his belt the best way to offer the same bonuses is to get plr product you can even get some of plr for free if you don't have money to spend

You can try searching for free plr product site there are tons of them out there, get some plr and offer it as bonuses,
    hope this helps

Well, I see many of these affiliates offering products of other vendors and they are not just PLRs. They're some software as well.

Thanks for the guidance So as a beginner, one has to rely on those run-of-the-mill PLR products unless he's willing to go through the grind and create a product of his own. But then, wouldn't it be more profitable to charge for his own product?

Well, you could always try NOT offering them. Instead, you could buy the product and create a useful, first-hand review, highlighting the benefits and any points to watch out for. That might help you stand out from the standard PLR bonus crowd.

Also, while you're using the product, you might well come up with an idea for a relevant addition or enhancement that you could create yourself (or have someone create), as an exclusive.

Well, I normally do the same. I don't offer any bonuses on my reviews but I just feel that others have an upper hand if they have some freebies to offer.

It's a way to strategize marketing and make prospects turn up for sales drive. Marketers know that people love freebies and so wouldn't mind offering lots of digital stuff as bonuses to sell their new and existing digital products. For instance, if you are going to launch a new video creation tool, you can attach bonuses such as design tools, image background removal tools, voiceover generator, and the likes.

Thanks, but that's what I need to know. Where can I get my hands on these software to offer them as freebies?

great post! I am blown away by how much content and useful info is FREE on those PLR sites! I have nothing against them mind you, I'm just overwhelmed at how to stand out in a crowd when everyone else has access to the same info?

Its just selling point. There are sellers who make some real quality bonuses which adds value but most of them don't. In my opinion, normally a cheap product tends to have more bonus junk than a premium one. I paid for a coaching recently and there was no fluff straight to the point material which sky rocketed my business. If any one provides high quality product then there is even no need of any bonuses etc.

The way you get these bonuses is to develop RELATIONSHIPS with other product creators.

If YOU have a product proven to sell that overlaps with another seller, the smart ones will come to you.

If you're a newbie, you have to do the legwork of finding and approaching those product sellers with proven offers overlapping your target market's interests.

As others have pointed out, the cost of delivering an already-created digital product is zero.

So why would they do this? In exchange for these other sellers giving you their bonus, they can get in return:
    • access to BUYERS (this is critical--not tirekickers, not lookieloos: buyers...and a buyer is a buyer is a buyer--no filtering required)
    • an opt-in from the buyer for additional info through a form or link inside the bonus, likely leading to at least one other offer which the bonus provider can now make money on with zero cost of customer acquisition--all automated, while they sleep
    • the chance to form a positive impression in the buyer's mind and stake out some ground as a subject matter expert.

There are other reasons but the chance to have someone else build my buyers' list at $0 cost is powerful stuff.

Separating the wheat from the chaff, buyers from dreamer lookieloos, is one of the most expensive things in marketing and sales. When you hand someone a prospect who has already demonstrated they are a BUYER, ie. has shown they will take their credit card out and BUY, you are doing them an enormous and financially valuable favor.

The smart marketers know their Cost of Customer Acquisition--which you have eliminated--and their Lifetime Customer Value--which tells them how much each buyer is worth.

Isn't that worth giving you an already-created, proven, zero-cost-to-produce-or-deliver product in exchange for?

Basically affiliate marketing is to promote any other products and earn commission. Many advertisers give promotions on their products to attract customers affiliate marketers promote their products and get commission.

    The good old bonus stories.

I can tell you when I was in my peak of desperation trying to make money online, the extra bonuses offered were a big part of my rising hatred against the entire world and against myself. At some point I started buying products only because the bonuses were better than the actual product. How sad is that?

Imagine you are an innocent person who just wants to escape from the hamster wheel of life, but all the time you're being tricked and showered with additional shit, namely the bonuses, which you don't need and which only confuses you even more or triggers even more excessive demands in you.

What can happen and also happened to me is that you have so many bonus things that you don't know where to start.

Should you start with the bonuses or with the product, what do you want to focus on? And then the procrastination starts.

For a newbie this is really bad in my opinion.

And that's exactly why you should ask yourself do I want to be like the others? Do I want to offer so many bonuses? Or do I want to be different do I want to be better for this world do I want to promote only useful products where it is totally unnecessary to offer additional crazy bonus stories.

That is the question you have to ask yourself. I for myself have answered the question and go the bonus-free way as best I can unless it has REALLY extreme added value for the product.

What you do, of course, you have to know for yourself. By the way, I also wrote about this in a post 'How I failed to make money online' on my blog.
