How to start Freelancing as digital marketer without portfolio..?!

Hello everyone,

Good day to all of you.

I studied many courses of Digital Marketing from Udemy and Udacity, and I am continuing to study.
But I want to start working online.

Some people suggest working affiliates or dropshipping, but I don't have money to start.

I want to start at freelancing websites, but I don't have any portfolio, just have some courses I studied.

How can I solve this mystery..?!

Thanks

What are you going to offer?

    Pretend.

By that, I mean this: create whatever you will sell for yourself. Be your first client.

Why do you need a portfolio?

Some services I intend to offer I don't know if I can offer or not, just I know it theoritically.

You can offer potential clients to work for them for free and the only thing you are asking for in exchange would be a positive review from them. That way you slowly increase your portfolio, gain trust through positive feedback and then you can start to charge for your services. Just an idea

that depends on the service you are offering I would say.
If its an easy job for you to fullfill you can maybe do up to 10

If it's an hard job I guess around 5 should be enough
(oh and you can also ask for video reviews for example)

All the more reason to CREATE your own portfolio. Practice on yourself before selling your services. Choose a couple of niches and write content for them and create ads for them. Set up a web page that demonstrates points of SEO, etc.

if you are offering 'SEO audit' include the bullet points of exactly what you will do to perform the 'audit' - what your checklist is, what the standards are, etc.

Kay and the others are spot on. Unless you know what you're doing, nobody will pay you. So practice on yourself. Build your website and write a few articles you can add as samples. Play with the ads, etc. Build your confidence. Also if you're unsure of yourself, focus on one thing at a time. Ask people for feedback on your work.

    I hope I make sense.

  • Very simple, put to pratice your studies with your own website in a specific sector that interests you and join different affiliate programs.

For example, a website to help newbies to start selling online and the services they need, a domain, webhosting, newsletter software, website templates etc etc

All these services run affiliate programms and pay good commissions. "The proof is in the pudding" So do it yourself.

    Good Luck

For you to be successful in finding your first freelance gigs, you should definitely try to think about some way in which you could prove to your future clients or employeers that you really have some value, as this is something that will make you stand out and get better chances to getting hired than your competitors. If you don't have a portfiolio and enough materials to create one, you can at least start working on some personal project and advertise it organically on some social media and other digital platforms. Others need to see and recognize your efforts, you have to show them you're proactive and that you have some original ideas of your own. If you just show up on some sites for finding the jobs without any proof, I don't think you will be that successful in your attempts.

I'm not the biggest fan of working for free. So starting off by creating websites for free isn't one of my top recommendations.

In all honesty, when starting off with no credibility, case studies, or clients... it will be a slight deterrent. However not all people will decline you because you are brand new.

I would start with the website that you create for your freelance business. Since you offer freelance websites, create a beautiful and effective website for yourself - that will give potential clients an idea of the quality that you will create for them.

You can also design a whole host of other style of websites in different niches, around different areas of professions, so that your prospects can see your style of web design.

In the meantime, start on freelance websites like freelancer, elance, etc and attract clients there. The best you can do is create a website for those clients who choose you... and after you have completed assignments contact them for reviews and testimonials. And eventually case studies.

  • If you're looking to get into freelancing as a digital marketer, you might be wondering how to go about it without a portfolio.

If so, I've got you covered.

The first thing to do is take a look at your skills and experience. If you're just starting out as a marketer, it might not be necessary to have any work under your belt. Instead, focus on the skills that set you apart from other marketers who may have been more seasoned. For example, if you have an interest in SEO and have been learning about Google algorithms and how they affect content marketing strategies, take some time to write down everything that comes to mind about those topics. Then use that list as the basis for an article about how different types of writers can use SEO techniques in their content marketing strategy and then pitch it! You don't need previous experience or even a portfolio to pitch this idea successfully.

Another way to get started without having any work samples is by doing some research on similar topics or companies that are working in the same industry as yours.

Three points of view in this thread.....

    1. CREATE a portfolio to compete for paid work
    2. work for free to build a portfolio
    3. fake it till you make it

Wonder which one the OP is going to try?

The affiliate doesn't require a portfolio or initial investment. But, As you said, you want to start freelancing through freelance websites, Here is a list of freelance websites that you can try:
    1. Upwork
    2. Fiverr
    3. Gig4U
    4. Guru
    5. PeoplePerHour
    6. Freelancer.

As per my experience, the above websites are the best among all the marketplaces online. They are easy to use, free to browse, safe and secure transactions, real clients, and money guaranteed. I suggest you be active on more than 1 platform at once, it gives you more advanced opportunities to learn, earn and explore. In the beginning, you may find it difficult to get projects and money, but remember this, Freelancing may not require money investment but it requires time, skills, and continuous efforts. You've to learn the marketplace first. Once you get pro in the marketplace, you'll confidently plan your freelance business as well. I believe this guide help you with your query. If there is any other query,

If you're considering freelancing but don't have a portfolio to show off your work, there are a few things you can do to get started.

First, find a niche that you're passionate about and research the specific requirements for that field. This will help you better understand what types of projects are appropriate for you to take on.

Then, create a list of the types of projects you're interested in working on and start searching for opportunities.

    Hire a professional hacker!
My expertise is programming, running exploits, and setting up DDOS attacks and I like the challenge of doing things where most others give up.

    Examples:
Spear Phishing Attacks to get accounts from selected targets.
I can recover account passwords of most social networks easily, remote control smartphones.
Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, the Twitter account hacking. Criminal record expungement, Credit score increment, Change of a school course grade, etc.

Full package deal, getting access to personal or company devices and accounts and searching for the data you need.
Hacking web servers, game servers, or other internet infrastructure. Basically, anything a hacker needs to be successful.

    Examples:
    Simply hacking something technically.
Causing a lot of technical trouble on websites/networks to disrupt their service with DDOS and other methods.
Economic espionage. Getting private information from someone.
Ruining your opponents, business, or private persons you don't like, I can ruin them financially and or get them arrested, whatever you like.
