small business website - strange traffic

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue that started recently. Usually our site gets around 100 direct clicks a day or so. Recently that number has grown to 2.5K - this has increased our bounce rate to 99.98%. I've reached out to my webhost (Zoho) to see if they can send me any logs. I'm not sure what I should be doing as normally with a WordPress site I can see the IP's do I'm not sure if it's referral spam or something else shady like that.
