Spike in Traffic... All Rankings Dropped!

Hello!

Over the course of 3 hours, I had some odd 100,000% increase in traffic from 3-5 visits per day to 2,500 in a few hours, all from a small town in Virginia, USA. Google then dropped what little rankings the site had. I was just getting started on the site, writing great content. It's a church site.

I didn't buy traffic or do anything to it. Had some foundation links built a month or so ago, but that's it. Any ideas what's going on?


Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Go to your analytics and you will see that you got bots visiting.

    Block the sites they came from.
