Help me figure out where to start?

Good afternoon everyone!

I want to ask this question. I have a great opportunity to get inexpensive goods, namely, electronics, audio equipment, etc. And therefore, on sites such as Amazon and Ebay, I want to open accounts for work, but I know that these sites are not very simple and not very cheap advertising and because of my inexperience, I would not want to start and immediately finish my enterprise .... Please tell me how best to start in order to test the product on these sites with minimal losses) Even though my delta can be very good, everything is exactly from inability can easily go to the minus

Great, you have a source of supply. Fine.

Now you need a marketplace to resell these things. Ebay? Your own ecommerce store? Somewhere else?

You need two things to make money: Traffic and Conversion.

You need Traffic. People looking to buy these things. Where are these people, who you are certain will be interested in buying these goods you are reselling?

Can you resell them for margins large enough to pay for your costs of business plus a profit?

Are there enough buyers every week or month to pay you enough for your time?

    You also need Conversion.

How will you sell these products to people? Ebay again is an answer: it's both Traffic and Conversion in one tool. People come there with the intention of buying, and the site mechanically is set up to allow purchases. But you pay a price for that in fees.

You must learn SOMETHING, you must take SOME risk if you are going to do this. There is no magic way to guarantee you won't lose money. Savidge has a thread on making a reselling business. I'm pretty sure you'll learn something helpful there.

To answer your question you just have to get started. Both Amazon and Ebay are cheap and inexpensive to sell on. You can sell on Ebay for free, but as a new account holder you will be limited to 10 items that you can list before they give you a listing increase.

If you have the source for the products, acquire the products and start listing. Implementation is the best way to get started. You won't know until you do something.

Everything you need to know when starting with eBay.

I would suggest getting 5 of something to start... To begin with... stay away from Amazon. Its a whole other animal... get your feet wet with eBay... understand product titles, and images and pricing and allof those things... then move cross list on Amazon.

    Hey,

If your product have competitively priced, suggest start Amazon with FBM
    Before start,suggest do below steps:
1.check this same or similar item price on Amazon
2.Check when they started selling, and how many store selling
3.What about the price range and reviewing or rating
You can start FBM to save money instead FBA

Go by the book. Amazon and ebay has pretty simple way to sign up and start selling. However make sure you have read their terms. If you have no experience listing then there are consultants online that provide listing and account management services , i have tested quite abit and found some reliable one.

You prevent future mistakes. It's laudable. I understand your concern and can advise you to pay attention to the advertisement rules published at the websites of these e commerce platforms. Everything is explained quite clearly there and yeah, you are right, the ad costs a lot on these platforms, but they are hegemoneso n the market, don't forget about it.
As for testing the products, then you can create the accounts and place 1 product on each of them and watch for the conversion and the percentage, which you pay to the platform. Based on the results - make up your mind.
