How to monetize photo blog when i am a trucker?

Short intro: I had websites for adsense, mostly advertisment boards. Life got curved and I have sold them all. 5-7 years have passed.
I have ended as a truck driver. I love driving as offline activity, so I stick to it. But I am looking for some extra income in digital world, not like crypto or bonds.

I want all of you, guys advice: if my idea is viable:
My idea is to create photos while I am on the road.

How to monetize photos of truck, sunsets, districts, loading bays ? I plan to make a blog and upload photos there. What are my options of monetising blog with photos??

Why not sell your photos on shutterstock or other sites like that?

    Adsense, otherwise.

Thank you, shutterstock will be doable, Maybe I miss something, I want to ask the community for the current value for photos

Do not, for the love of God, waste your time with microstock. Microstock is not only oversaturated, you now have to compete with both social media and regular platforms encouraging people to give away high quality, high resolution photos for free commercial usage.

Shutterstock is particularly evil. It's been steadily slashing pay rates for its contributors for years now. The only people who make money there are Third Worlders and Eastern Europeans who think getting $5 a month for the hundreds of photos they upload a month is like hitting the lottery, because their standard of living is so low.

Even if you somehow, by sheer miracle, were able to make a decent amount of money, don't expect to enjoy it for long, because Shutterstock encourages plagiarism. For example, say you hit the jackpot with a trending image. Expect several hundred copycat images to be made from bottomfeeders hoping to glom off that image's success.

People have been fleeing Shutterstock and microstock for all the reasons I stated. Photos have no real monetary value because the market is dictated by bottomfeeders who will give away their work for pennies and even free "for the exposure."

You can create Youtube videos and instead of photos do videos showing your trucking adventures. Once you get monetized on Youtube you could earn income from that.

I have this in plans, but for fun. I think these videos will not make any revenue.
Yes I plan do videos not expecting any income from them

I agree you could put your photos on sites to sell for people to use on their own sites, etc. Wouldn't be a lot of money but might be something over time.

You could also use your blog to advise TRUCKERS of the best places to eat on various routes, and other things that truckers might need to know. There are new truckers all the time - driving new routes....and also travelers who like to believe truckers know the best places to eat, etc. This is assuming you drive enough routes that you could post about them.

Thank you for reply, Maybe I should learn photografy right now.
Advices... They are time consuming, I drive all time and willing to discover activity I could do "on the go"
So such activities stuck with time like a snowball....

Just a FYI, go to the black toolbar, highlight your user name switch to the classic button. Then quote the person you are responding to. Not everyone is on the feed. Which means they do not know who you are replying to.

No one here can tell you the current value of your photos. You have to post them on shutterstock like the suggestion above, the market will determine the value.

Regarding videos list them on YouTube to start building an audience then eventually if you have enough subscribers you can sign up for adsense - https://support.google.com/youtube/a...ogram-policies

Just another idea no one mention is a Pinterest account, to start building up followers. - https://www.pinterest.com/

I posted comments about Shutterstock above. I was a contributor for almost a decade before quitting. Shutterstock is a waste of time. Photos have become so devalued that they are worth nothing in the eyes of consumers. Ironically, the companies that devalued the photos so no one is willing to pay anything for them are making bank. Microstock goes by the Uber business model where the entire thing works like a pyramid scheme. Photographers bust their humps uploading thousands of photos hoping to make $50 every other month while the execs and even the pencil neck geek coders are pulling in $100K-$5M a year.

Pinterest is also a waste of time for this very reason. When you post images on that site, Pinterest is making money off you. You don't make any money. Also, it's coded so that when people search for your images in Google, Bing, etc., your pinned image in Pinterest will show up instead of your blog.

I don't disagree with you. Truth is - there are lot of people snapping photos out there so they aren't worth much on those sites - even though I've seen really good pix.

Truth is - the easy things are not money makers...that is almost always true.

We are suggesting ideas for your downtime, evenings, breaks, etc....I would not advise anyone to be trying to work online WHILE driving....just sayin...
