As the subject line says, I just lost my job and have 0 money. I just started to learn a little bit about affiliate marketing and got some links to promote on Clickbank and Digistore24, I need to make money ASAP or else I'll lose my place! Anyone who can help me in this tough situation, I would greatly appreciate it

You need to get another job. A new job will start paying in 1-2 weeks and it can take months to make your FIRST money online.
What you 'need' or how desperate you might be - has no effect on what you can earn online. My advice is to get another job - spend spare time learning what you need to make money online and start doing that WHILE you have a job to support you.

got some links to promote on Clickbank and Digistore24

What have you done besides 'get some links'? Do you have a site/blog/mailing list?

I'd suggest you get another job - or two if you need money desperately. Read the thread below - it's an excellent way to get started online - and everything you need to know is in that ONE thead and all the questions are answered by someone DOING it.

If affiliate marketing is what you want...use the forum advanced search with 'affiliate' as the keyword in the 'title'...some excellent tutorials that could help.

Good luck - let us know how it goes.

My ducks are absolutely not in a row. I don't even know where some of them are...
...and I'm pretty sure one of them is a pigeon.

Got the links and have been joining various groups on social media, different forums online and promoting them, trying to piece everything together. No blog or websites yet, but doing everything I can and then some to make it work. Thanks for the reply!

You need to find a new job, or just take a small loan and start your own business.

You won't start making immediately and even if you do it may take a moth to get your first pay.

You would be better off taking TWO jobs for now to make some money...just posting links on sites is not going to accomplish much.

"Affiliate marketing" is what you DO with the links you get. If you go on forums and other people's social media sites and start posting your 'links' - you are likely to be banned quickly.

For example, any new members on THIS forum who posts a comment promoting a digistore, etc, link - are banned as spammers. That's not how you make money online. If your goal is to 'make it work' - you have take the time to learn what to do and the time to set up a funnel/sales page that has a chance of making sales.

Edit: Others may encourage posting links here and there. The above is my opinion - but I've NEVER seen someone making money by spreading links around without a marketing plan of action.

I think once you are a bit desperate and need money it can be extremely hard to achieve anything online, especially as a beginner. just understanding this internet marketing niche and knowing how to do what properly takes an incredible amount of time.

It took me a few years to get a proper understanding of everything, because there are so many different methods nowadays. so as the others have said, it would actually be advisable to get a normal job first and then start to get started online gradually. you'll get there, good luck.

Affiliate Marketing is a long-term game.

You must have a valid offer to sell, great mentorship and the determination and consistency to provide value to people. It ain't no get rich quick.

There's no quick solution online, sorry. You need to put in hard long work, especially in affiliate marketing. Don't go for any get-rich-quick schemes because they'll likely lose you money, which you may not have. You need another way (job) to support you and then build up your online presence as a side project, then if you are successful (90% of people aren't!), then quit your job to focus online only.

Affiliate marketing takes a long time to start earning an income.

You should look into providing freelance services. Do you have any skills?

Yes, you definitely want to find a new job first. No new business is designed to provide a livable income right out the gate. It takes time to build it up, master the basic skills, and get your name out there. Focus 100% of your efforts on finding a new job and then once you have one, continue your side hustle with affiliate marketing at nights and on weekends. Just my two cents.

To keep a job or to find something online to replace a job...you have to show up.

That's soooo unfair. Why don't these things just fall into people's laps? Better yet, why don't they fall in people's laps together with a person who'll do the work for them for free? I mean, who has time for work when there's Teen Wolf and Stranger Things and such to stream?

Desperation won't help you, breathe, sell all the stuff you don't really need to have a financial cushion, take a part time job and start learning and building your online empire with peace of mind, best of wishes!

I agree with all of the comments here, it takes time and quite a lot of money, (if you go down the PPC path) or if not quite a lot of time.

I tried Pay Per Click, and after about 7 months realized that it would take $250 per attempt, (using Adwords 6, 7 years ago). These days Adwords, if you don't read their giant rules and screw up, costs about $100 for two sales if you are lucky.

About the only thing that got two sales per 100 impressions was Earth4Energy on Clickbank, (not sure if it is still there) and back then l was getting about $40 profit and $60 loss.

Develop your own product, so you make a bigger profit, similar deal, affiliate's absorb most of your profits.

If this was easy then everyone would do it.

Yep, set up an account on Ebay and sell anything you own of value, is a good idea, but plouring it all into AM, unless you get lucky most likely it would be thousands gone.

Going to Fiverr to sell your services perhaps, (tried that and tried to sell a book about it) but that will still take a little time and some luck.

Maybe he should get a job?
