Hi, I run a mybb forum in 2022 and everytime I try to anything with SEO for my forum, I mostly face reddit so I can't rank up due to their very high DA. So generally very little people find us and write anything very very occasionally.

What would be a good strategy for a forum? I checked something like theHoth but they looks professional in blog but not forum. Also I doubt boosting SEO would boost forum user engagements in terms of actual action other than registration, like writing, replying, etc.

How would I start with making active forum? Is there a course teaching it strictly for forum owners?

    So, WHO are you trying to bring together? What will they be discussing and how does your community differ from other forums, blogs, sites about that subject?

    One way to grow a forum is known as the third person dancing method.

    A forum follows a similar pattern, you need first and second followers, and then they enthuse others...most successful forums are built on word of mouth, which beats SEO and most other marketing ideas for longevity.

    Unless your forum is more faddish and covers a hot subject, then locate the people most willing to dance to your tune, and let them spread the word, maybe even reward them for doing so.
