Google does not display meta descriptions

Good morning,

I come by this message because I have a problem with my website. I use Yoast SEO, and I have modified the description of the main pages of the site since 27/06/2023 but Google has not changed the description modified via yoast seo.

What can I do?

  • What you can do is be more realistic. You made changes 2-3 weeks ago - Google will catch up with those changes in its own time. You can't force Google to do what you want - and no one here can control Google either.
  • Google may or may not use your meta description. Their algorithm split tests your meta description against ones that they generate from the words on your page and what they think are the best words based upon a user's query. Most of the time, their split tests show that the words their algorithm chooses are better matches for any given query. When that is the case, yours are ignored.
