Hi everyone,

I'm a beauty blogger who has been driving traffic to my blog using email marketing. However, I'm not making any sales. I'm wondering if anyone can offer some advice on how to improve my conversion rate.i use banners to promote my affiliate products.

My target audience is mostly female, and I'm promoting affiliate products in my blog posts.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Banners can be effective, but they're impersonal. You said you drive traffic via email marketing - what does that mean? Do you have your own subscriber list or do you advertise on third party newsletters?

I don't get this. You have your own subscribers - people who've presumably signed up to have a relationship with you - and you're trying to sell them with banners?

Why not use that relationship to recommend products and services of interest and use to them? If they trust you enough to be on your list, you've already done much of the selling. And you can supplement and enhance the relationship by what you provide on your blog.

You shouldn't need to worry about any banner conversion rates.

You need to learn about marketing but I am
going to give you some general advice since
I am not familiar with your situation.

Your blog should have great quality content,
preferably text links throughout your content,
not numerous distractions on the page.

Having a blog that looks spammy with a bunch
of banners generally doesn't work. People don't
want to see ads and they don't want to feel like
you are pushing products on them.

It is better to cover one topic on your blog, for
example acne. Not a dozen different beauty
subjects that cover everything under the sun.

You should also keep in mind that there are a
million billion other beauty blogs out there. You
either need to be an authority or have multiple
    blogs, or both.

Again, brush up on marketing, content creation,
SEO key words, and all the things you need to
know to operate a successful beauty blog.

Well you just need to continue to build your list everyday but also you need to build a relationship with your list ,that means you need to send them also helpful emails that give value information and not try only to sell because people dont like that
Also i dont think banner its a good idea to build your list ,its a way better idea to build a capture page to collect emails
Also watch some youtube videos on the process to learn more about blogging marketing ,email marketing etc

have you opened a guest blogging option on your website? This is one of the most easiest and effective ways to earn from a blog website.

I would think that sending surveys to their email list, then selling them what they want would be much easier.

this is a good idea but you also need to perform SEO activities to drive traffic to your blog. Most of the time people post guest posts on blog sites that have high traffic. Furthermore, the majority of people post guest posts to promote their businesses. (This means they will be asking you for a do-follow link).

Don't forget to toss in some real stories from happy customers who've tried the products you're talking up. It's like showing that your suggestions aren't just words. They can actually work, and that can make others more likely to try it out.

Apart from that it's all about forming a real connection with your audience. Engage with them on your blog and social media channels like you're chatting with friends. The more trust you build, the more likely they'll be to listen to your recommendations.

  • What is the size of your email list? How often do you engage with it, do you have sequences in place, who is working on the copy? A quick analysis of your email marketing will reveal what can be done.

The first thing I would look at is the quality of the content. Such elementary things as the resolution of the hdr images, but this should also be taken into account. It is much more pleasant to scroll through content when it is of high quality. And the second thing is advertising. You can't do without it. For example, even the latest Barbie movie, the advertising budget there is higher than the budget of the movie itself. So the conclusion is self-evident. It's advertising and quality content.

  • Using links in your text is best. As someone said below. Banner ads are a spammy way to do it.

Think about it. Even when you're reading Elle online about something you're really interested in, do you want to have to sift through banner ads? or a page that keeps reloading because of ads?

    Nope.

The other thing I would suggest is building a better relationship with your audience. You have to separate yourself from other beauty websites and the only way to do that is through intentional positioning through the value and conversation you have with them.

Last thing. Don't send people to your blog posts all the time, send them to an offer. A sales page, a VSL, something that pitches an offer.

Your email list sees a million blogs. But an irresistible offer for a product you recommend, that's going to sell much better than a blog post they have to take time out of their busy day to read.

    Make it easier for them.

    To your success.
