QUESTION ABOUT ACCOUNTING WHEN SELLING 1.00 DOWNLOADS

When selling small downloadable PDF files for 1.00 each and if I sold say 750 files this month, do you guys with experience at this enter each individual sale or just a total amount for 750 sales for the month?

    hi,
    Are you using an ERP? there should be an option for a invoice where you can select Quantity and rate. so you can create one also if thats a very small personal business or side hustle. you can record sales against a product instead of customer wise sales.

      I'm so new with all this I don't even know what an ERP is, is it some kind of accounting software? I guess though going by what you said about "sales against a product" I could just record the total number of sales for each month??? So if I sold 100 pdf's for 1.00 each my total sales for that product for the month is $100.00. I mean lol, I certainly would not want to hand record each individual sale. I guess I am really wondering if I can just show in Quickbooks the total deposits in my bank account from Stripe each month for the sales I made.

        yes and you can also attach your bank with quickbooks, and once done you can memorzie or make rules the treatments of the specific transaction and categories, for example sales. And
        Qucikbooks is an example of ERP.
