Struggling to Understand How SEO Really Works - Is It Just About Keywords?

Hey everyone,

I'm still pretty new to all this SEO stuff, and I've been trying to wrap my head around what actually moves the needle when it comes to ranking.

Everywhere I read, people talk about keywords, backlinks, content, etc. But honestly, it gets overwhelming sometimes. I've been watching YouTube videos and reading blogs, but they all seem to say different things.

Right now, I'm just experimenting with a small blog I created. I've done basic things like:

Used keywords in titles and headings

Made sure pages load fast

Submitted the site to Google Search Console

But still not seeing much traffic after a couple of weeks. Is this normal for a new site? How long does it usually take before Google starts showing your content to people?

Also... is SEO more about technical stuff, or just writing helpful content consistently?

Would really appreciate any tips or just hearing how you guys got started and what helped the most early on.

Thanks in advance!

It is more about link building, quality link building, quality content, quality blog and humanised content within website.

Try to take our compeitior data for targeted keyowrd via smerush and build links on those URLs with high DA as per Smerush and then monitor the ranking of those keywords.

    Welcome to the forum.

You did a great job submitting your blog to the Google Console.

YouTube is a great resource for tutorials, but you need to ensure
that you are following people who know what they are doing, and
who can provide examples and evidence of their expertise.

In case you missed it, there is an entire section about SEO here,
there are over 1,600 pages on this topic, with around 50 threads
on each page, so there are 80,000+ threads about SEO.

    https://www.warriorforum.com/search-...-optimization/

    The forum is searchable.

Your questions have likely been asked and answered.

Some other things you need to do are:

Ensure that your keywords are interesting to people besides
    yourself.

Realize that there are BILLIONS of other blogs besides yours.

You're probably not going to get massive traffic after 2 weeks.

Keywords should be placed in the following spots:

    Your domain name.

    In your URL.

    In your image URL.

    In your image alt description.

    In your meta section.

Within your quality content and its headings. There are some
additional things you can do to your keywords within the content,
and you need to learn what those things are.

Besides sitting there awaiting your SEO magic to attract mass
readership, here are some other things you can do:

    Develop more blog pages.

    Develop additional blogs.

Promote your blog(s) with ads, on social media, and maybe
    even a press release.

Monetize with ads, affiliate products, and subscriptions.

Develop additional streams of income besides just your blog(s).

Recommended topics to read and learn about:

Passive income, home business, make money from home, make
money online, social media marketing, multiple streams of income,
affiliate marketing, SEO, and how to promote a blog.

If you have any questions, post them here.

Well its about content ,keywords ,backlinks etc but its very important the domain authority

You can do everything properly but not see great results as seo takes time and older your site its the better your results are

For example lets you have a new site and you work great ,do everything ,then a competitor of you with a 2 year blog its will get better results than you with minimal work

For google its also important the domain authority
    Signature
Find out my best method to make $200-$300 daily with affiliate marketing
Atention : Not a quick rich scheme ,takes patience, consistency and some work also

SEO is more than just keywords! It involves technical optimization (like site speed and mobile-friendliness), high-quality content, backlinks from high DA websites, and user experience factors. A strong SEO strategy combines all these factors to help your site rank better!

Submissions to high DA sites, paid or free (this takes a couple of weeks to get approved). Great results require consistency and a solid link-building strategy will take time and effort.

I'm new to SEO too! I follow industry blogs like Moz, Ahrefs, and the like. SEO is evolving- but once you get the hang of it, you'll reap the reward!

It's not just about keywords, Google cares about user experience too, like site speed and good content. If you're not seeing traffic yet, it's normal. New sites usually take a couple of months to pick up. Keep posting helpful content, optimize as you go, and start building backlinks.

  • SEO goes beyond keywords; it involves producing quality content, optimizing the website's structure, enhancing user experience, and establishing backlinks to improve visibility and rankings on search engines.

Yes, content is important. It plays a crucial role in keyword development.

Keywords should be emphasized to attract attention.

Backlinks are essential to link to other articles, but this issue has not been clearly resolved.

When writing articles or doing SEO, pay attention to Google's regulations. Especially use useful, trustworthy content, prioritize humans, not AI content

SEO is more than just keywords. While keywords are important for matching search intent, successful SEO involves a detailed approach. It includes optimizing your website's technical aspects (like site speed and mobile-friendliness), creating high-quality, engaging content, building authoritative backlinks, and improving user experience (UX). Search engines also consider factors like site structure, internal linking, and user behavior signals. In 2025, SEO is about making your website valuable to both users and search engines, ensuring that it's easy to find, navigate, and offers helpful content.
