Let's say you're starting from scratch.
You want to build a simple, proven online business that can actually bring in real extra income every month -- nothing fancy, no hype, just something that works.

I would recommend that any newbie buy used items and flip them online for a profit. One of the most successful Paths here gives all the details on how to be successful selling on eBay. It's not glamorous but can be profitable. Here is the link to the thread. https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...days-ebay.html

If someone does not have eBay in their area, they can sell on other platforms, like Facebook, Craigslist, Kiwi, etc.

I have developed websites and made money online for nearly 30 years.

I started while I had a full-time career and was able to retire early because
    of my online business.

I have tried a number of things - some have worked and some have not.

There is no such thing as "simple."

Looking for simple is why most people stay broke in internet marketing.

Other tactics that do not work = lazy money, make money in your sleep,
set it and forget it, etc.

There are ways to generate passive income, but they all require WORK,
elbow grease, effort, strategy, action, and getting busy.

    Good luck finding "simple."

First thing, by stating you want an ONLINE business, you have already introduced several moving parts into your plan. You can't have one, unless you are online. But I will give you some questions to consider...but as far as simple gets.

The IDEA: YOU want someone to BUY something from you.

So, easiest transaction I ever made was writing on a piece of cardboard; New TV for Sale; $50. Then sat in my porch rocking chair and waited as traffic zoomed by, and in less than 15 minutes I had 50 bux in my hand. That is as SIMPLE as a transaction can be.

YOU have something for sale, someone buys it from you...for your asking price and at breakneck speed.

So you have to be online. Therefore an Internet Service Provider, an avg in USA of 60 bucks a month.

Then you need SOMETHING to sell, and SOMEBODY to sell it to.

The MISTAKE most Warriors make is they start with the something (most often affiliate stuff) first, whereas the SIMPLE way is to find a SOMEBODY (buyer) first, because you know they have the money to buy.

Selling smart TV's down on skid (desolation) row isn't going to work, is it?

What is the simplest product to offer? INFORMATION. All the positive, no negative.

What is the best type of information to sell? PROPRIETARY. Info that no one else has and yet, it is wanted (you know this from seeing people BUYING it today). So, something you create and own would be the ideal.

Now the moving parts...because you are not sitting in a porch rocking chair watching the traffic go by and seeing your offer, you have to put your "TV" where there is traffic.

Then once you have a place with traffic, you need to STOP them, by your cardboard sign (ad-promotion-offer) and they have to walk up the sidewalk and give you the dough.

There are many who will argue about simple being a myth, and for many, it may be.

But say you wrote a report, with the help of AI these days, on the most simple of Online Side Hustles. Are there buyers for such a thing? Well, you are reading this in the middle of a starving crowd, so yea.

Now to eliminate the moving parts as much as you can, you offer your new report at Gumroad, which is an ecommerce platform/marketplace for FREE. They take a little chunk of change for eliminating as many moving parts as they can. No coding, just write a little cardboard sign, so to speak, and let it sit.

However, you may want to add the moving part of TRAFFIC, which mostly happens online with PAID ADS, so there is that part to concern yourself with.

Now, a SHORTCUT would be to find a successful Online Marketer selling these kinds of reports, with a track record, and an audience...and offer to split sales with them. That is as basic, simple, and fewest moving parts as one can find online.

If I am wrong, someone please tell me why?

You want simple; you START with that as a goal and fully define it in terms of what you will do, won't do, TIME to do it, and REASON why to do it all. If you just want to make money fast, and as simple as it gets, stay OFFline and sell your TV on your front porch.

        Simple is subjective.

Some multi-step procedure that is simple for
me might not be simple to other people.

That's why it's important for people to develop
their own methods of making money online.

We frequently get noobs who want somebody
to tell them what they should do and how they
should go about it, when there's no way anyone
can tell another person what would work.

That is why, IMO, it's important for people to
read books and learn about the different ways
        that income can be generated.

You need to match your skills to the method,
that is something only the individual can do.

If I had to start from zero, I'd probably go with something simple like affiliate marketing or selling digital products (like printables or small guides). It's low-cost to start, you can do it from anywhere, and once you get some traffic, it can bring steady extra cash without needing a fancy setup. Just focus on a niche you know or like, and keep it real and simple.

With countless side hustles popping up across the globe, the possibilities to earn extra income are practically endless. but with so many options, how do you figure out which one truly fits you? Do you already have something in mind that can be negotiated?

EXTRA income used to be above and beyond all expenses, it was extra. Today, many need added income to meet their bills, monthly expenses and just to make "ends meet".

And there are many options, choosing which one depends on the intent, the goal and the purpose of getting the extra income. If it is just to stay even, then it isn't extra income is it?

If I were starting from scratch, I'd go with freelance services like writing or design on platforms like Fiverr or Upwork. Low startup cost, real demand, and you can scale as you learn. It's not flashy, but it works.

Honestly, I'd start a simple blog. Pick a topic I enjoy, write helpful content, and grow it slowly. Once it gets traffic, I'd use Google AdSense to earn money from ads. Nothing fancy, just steady income over time.

First, I would set up a Facebook account and start following people who have joined groups focused on learning how to make money online. Next, I would post an affiliate offer in each group every day.

Honestly, I'd go with affiliate marketing. You don't need to build a product or deal with shipping. You just pick a topic you like (tech, fitness, finance, whatever), find a company that has an affiliate program, and promote their link. When someone buys through it, you get paid. You can start by posting on Reddit, Quora, or even Instagram. No money needed upfront, just time and some trial and error.

Build an opt in page where you give something in return for a name and email.

Then test a few places to advertise to your target market.

While doing this, TRACK WHERE EACH LEAD is coming from so you know the winners and the losers.

Then have multiple emails selling the product......GIVE VALUE at the same time to your list........And have more emails selling related products to your niche.
