I signed up for this round of HAHD (hundred articles, hundred days on ezinearticles) eager to complete it this time around. Then I got a paying client who pays me .02 a word. Then I started doing the math. Mathematically it just doesn't make sense for me to give away 100 high quality 400+ word articles. When it didn't matter how many words, I could deal with that. But if I do this, I'll be giving away $800. I can't do that to my family. If Chris were doing some kind of revenue sharing plan then I would consider it. As a marketer, I get the same results from a well written 250 word article as a 400 word article. So from now on, I will give paying clients the 400 word articles.

Quite simply, clicks don't buy diapers. Sales do. So I've got to do what's best for my family and HAHD just isn't it.

I'm not in the HAHD challenge. It is too much work when I have paying clients to write for as well, so I'm not criticizing you at all. Just pointing out the other side.

Why were you doing the challenge? I have found that the articles I post on EzineArticles are very effective advertising for my businesses. Posting an article is not about just giving it away, it is about what you get in return. In my case, every article benefits me with increased backlinks, increased traffic, leading to increased sales.
