We've decided to go ahead and use Martin Buckley's Pizza Card Profits system.
Following the guide we've decide to name our business Pizza Card Advantage. We do not need a website yet as we are not using the web to sell yet. I do plan to eventually use the web and have done some research at Namecheap.com that PizzaCardProfit.com is currently available in all domains (.com, .us., .info, .biz, etc., etc.) so I believe we will be able to get it once I want to go on the web. Update: apparently Martin has made this available as of an hour ago on the Offline Marketing Forum in this post.
For now though I have done research on my state--NJ--and I will need to get four copies of my DBA (doing business as) license that will cost about $50. You get two back--one for you and one to take to the bank--and two are kept, one stay in your county and the other goes to the state capitol, Trenton, where it is filed away there.
I tried to get my FEIN number from the IRS but was not able to do so. I kept getting a "technical error" and was told to come back and try again. However, this isn't critical as I am able to use my SS# for now.
I'll let you know how I make out with that.
I also checked with my bank and found out that we can open a bank account with only $25 but that it will have an $8 per month charge until we can get a minimum balance of $1500.
I plan on having this done in by the end of the week and I will update then on where I stand.
