I think after just saying the word "PATIENCE" I could stop and we all would throw up our hands. Fact is, this is something that each of us deal with every day and it is tough. (for me anyway) For me, patience is one of the hardest "life lessons" I will ever face.

Everything requires patience. Think about it. A job requires patience from multiple perspectives. We have to have patience with our bosses, with our coworkers, with the machinery and processes (depending on the job). A relationship requires patience. If you are in a relationship, there is patience required towards your spouse or significant other. If your not in a relationship, patience is required waiting for the one you may have your eye on but their not ready yet, there is patience needed in waiting for the "right" one and making that important choice. In a family setting, patience is surely needed to deal with the children. If your sick, patience is needed in waiting for the doctors to find out what is going on with your body and then a high degree of patience in waiting for the medication to work or the healing process to take place. Shall I keep going?

Is it a fact that the need for patience will never go away. The question is, how do you deal with situations? Do you have patience? What is your level of patience?

It is my personal experience that we are not born with the trait of patience. This is a learned characteristic and the level of patience one has depends on each individuals life. What they have gone through that required patience and to what degree. The first time you try to ride a bike, there is failure. Training wheels are on but you still have to learn how to peddle and steer. As you continue to get on the bike you do better and better until the training wheels come off. You fall a couple times but eventually you take off with very little failure. What has happened? You have learned, through experience, how to ride a bike. You still fall at times but you get right back up and do it again. Patience can be related. Every life situation requires a certain degree of patience and depending on your actions with the patience required, the next time patience is required, it gets more manageable. Easier - not really but definitely more manageable.

Your level of desire also has an effect on your patience level. If you want something very bad, it is much harder to be patient in waiting on the other end to be worked out.

All in all, patience is a very hard lesson to learn but it can be done.

In what ways do you find it easier to deal with the idea of being patient? Comment below.
