4. Study The Failures

Don't worry when your content doesn't go viral. Keep in mind there's always a chance it could gain momentum suddenly sometime down the road. If it doesn't, be happy that you get a chance to learn from your failures.

Check out your video or post, and ask yourself questions about its quality and why you think it didn't work. Maybe the title is too long. Check out the latest viral successes. Try to figure out why certain content went viral, and why yours did not. This is what will allow you to locate and change the underlying problem or create content in the future that is successful.

5. Post Your Content At The Right Times

User activity on the social media sites varies a lot during different times of the day. Viral marketing experience on social media indicates that the best times for posting content is at the start of regular work hours and towards the end of the day. In addition, if you post less than once per day, it is better to post new content during the middle of the work week instead of the beginning.

However, those are generic tips about when to post. What you need to do is search for trends to find out when traffic to your own content is at its most active. You need to familiarize yourself with prospective customer's daily routines. Then you will really know when the best times are for your visitors to consume and hopefully share your content, so that it goes viral and promotes your brand as well.

Use these tips to get your viral social media content off to a good start. You will learn even more as you create more and more content. Best wishes and be sure to check out my UpViral Bonus.
