Regarding building a list and gaining the customers trust with an opt in email, I notice that a lot of marketers will claim to protect the customers email by not selling it, then they will do a JV and trade lists. Is the customers rights still protected as originally stated? The customer now gets emails from another marketer selling another product(s).
I feel the customers trust is key.

Just curious as to how it all works. I often wonder when I start receiving emails from people I do not know.
