The thing about traditions and holidays is you need to act before the event. Now, obviously you're not going to sell a ton of Halloween candy recipes in February. I fact, you're probably not going to get much traffic to your halloween site at all in february.

Halloween, Christmas, valentines, etc. are moments of opportunity. You're unlikely to make a fulltime income that will last all year with a Halloween site (not saying it can't be done), but it can boost your income a great deal.

Recipes, candy and particularly costumes are things I would focus on with a halloween site. And it needs to be done NOW!

Don't wait until you're a couple of days away from the event. By that time it will be too late.

Twitter, and other social platforms for that matter, are strange beasts. People generally don't see anymore than what's there at the moment they visit the site. If you want to get noticed you have to build a reputation for providing quality stuff!
