Internet Marketing has changed a lot these days and it is definitely not what it was 5 or 10 years ago. What was working well even just 3 years ago might be a loss of time these days.
But are people really making money online with ease? Or everything is a huge scam?
The short answer to this question is, YES and NO. Yes, a lot of people make money online, some of them earn enough to cover their expenses, some earn more than a fortune, but the truth is that 97%... Nope, in 2015 the percentage will grow to close to 99%. Yes, 99% of all internet marketers won’t make any money online. And that’s because of the following 3 reasons:
1) It’s full of scammers.
Online business has never stopped changing, but in the last 2 or 3 years is changing in matter of hours, not days, not months.
The strategies that most gurus teach out there are outdated.
And the brutal truth is that those marketers even don’t care of you, you are not in their priorities list, money is.
Because IF you, as their client, was a priority for them, they wouldn’t give you an outdated system, would they?
My advice: Don’t chase the money, because that’s where those scammers are good at selling! They sell just dreams…
2) You know too much already.
These days everyone can cook simply because there is so much information out there on the web and you can find tons of recipes for different dishes.
And that’s the problem for your online business.
You have too much recipes for a successful online career and you feel lost. You don’t know which one is the right for you and which one will help you achieve the goal of being a successful internet marketer, working from an exotic destination in the world.
And to be honest that’s absolutely possible with internet marketing, but the problem you have is that you are focused on your end goal, being successful.
And that’s why you are stuck at choosing which path to take in your online business. You should focus on finding a system and following it until you make it work.
I will ask you the following question - Have you heard the phrase: “Money is in the list!”?
If yes, then my next question would be, are you building a list?
And I am sure that you will say “No, I don’t know how!”.
And boom, I pointed you the problem, you should start searching for a solution on how to build your email list, not on searching for a solution on how to make money online.
Then your next question should be, “hey, how to make money out of my list of 300 subscribers?” after you have achieved that number.
And boom, you will be focused on just that problem now.
This way, brick by brick, step by step you will build an online business, not by chasing the “I made $1000 online and I will show you how too for $7”. Type of products.
My advice: Your first step should be finding how to start, not how to make X money.
3) You don’t listen to what the reputable marketers have thought you.
I know it’s hard to know who to trust, but you should find some reputable names out there and start listening to them, only them.
I remember the time I started online, there was one very reputable marketer who I was subscribed to, but I didn't really do what he was advising his readers.
And that was my biggest mistake!
The advice that I wish I have followed once I started online is the following:
“You should know the exact steps of building an online business and then you just need to fill the blanks after every step, but without skipping a step if you get stuck on it.”
And boy, this was so true!
It’s like learning to drive a car, you can’t drive until you learn how to use the pedals, the gear changer and so on. There are steps you need to go thru before start driving a car and you need to spend the time to go thru them, to fill the blanks.
So, know your steps to building an online business, like 1st – building a list, 2nd – monetizing a list, 3rd – growing the business and so on, then if you get stuck at some of them, simply don’t quit!
