The easiest way to monetize your blog no matter of the niche!
You have probably heard it many times, but I will say it once again. If you haven’t started a blog yet, you should do that!
A blog, even with the idea to use it just as a journal, can really help you scale your business faster and best of all, to analyze everything you do online.
What to write about?
Actually a blog should be exactly that, a mirror of your path to success. It should include all your ups and downs, all your successes and failures thru the journey, just like a journal.
The topics you can start blogging about are endless, for example your online business, your offline business, cooking or whatever that interests you.
But what top bloggers recommend is to start a blog about your biggest passion.
Working on something that actually makes you happy is definitely a receipt for success.
That’s why I am currently thinking about starting a blog in the automotive niche. It’s a topic I know a lot about, it’s a topic I read every single day, it my passion!
Is the story really that important?
A blog is the ideal way to share your experience in a story format. Actually this is what people want to read on blogs.
A story.
Think of the most successful blogs online, all of them have a story, all of them share a story and educate their readers thru that story.
That’s the purpose of a blog.
But if you decide to start a blog, remember, a blog isn’t just about the content, it’s all about the personal touch your readers will get.
You can’t just share a receipt for fish soup, you need to share the whole process of cooking it, your story. Because otherwise people won’t have a reason to follow you, there are tons of receipts for fish soups online.
How to monetize it?
One of the most powerful tools you can use in monetization of your blog is… the resources page.
That’s the page where you share all the resources you have used to build your blog, all the resources that you use to keep the blog running.
And of course you link to them via an affiliate link.
Here are just couple of examples of blogs that are monetized via resources page:
- SmartPassiveIncome – Internet Marketing
- PinchOfYum – Food blog.
You see that even a blog on a totally different topic than Internet Marketing can be monetized by such a simple strategy.
Every blog owner should share with their readers the hosting provider they use, the blog theme they use and the domain provider.
And the best way to do that is by adding affiliate links to a short guide called “how to start a blog”.
I am sure most of your visitors will be interested in such a topic and if they trust you, they will buy all of the products thru your affiliate links.
On the resources page you can additionally share affiliate links to the books you read (on the topic of the blog.), links to products that have helped you start this blog and so on.
My advice: Don’t recommend products simply because you will get a huge commission. Recommend only those products that are really helpful to you and your business, because building a relationship with your readers is the most important factor for your long-term business strategy.
You don’t need to scam someone because of $20.
Do only what you want others to do for you!
Start a blog today on a topic that is about your passion. Don’t get into a niche because of the money, that’s a receipt for failure.
