Big Changes Coming For Article Directories

Submit "Big Changes Coming For Article Directories" to Facebook

Over the last several years, article marketing has been all about getting the right keywords in your articles, getting the right keyword density, getting the keyword in the title in a certain way, writing your articles in a compelling manner, submitting those articles to and as many other article directories you could possibly find and, of course, building as many backlinks as possible to your article.

A lot of these factors are still important when it comes to getting your articles ranked on the first page of the search engines. However, there is a new kid in town. One that will be more important than any of the factors I mentioned above.

That new kid is - giving your readers the ultimate user experience.

Google has been pounding it into our heads for months now and the "user experience" is beginning to trump multiple backlinks and the perfect keyword density or the SEO'd article title.

Now the question is posed, "How do you give your article readers a great user experience?"

The main answer to this is to provide compelling content in an easy to read format i.e. bulleted lists, shorter paragraphs, structured content flow, etc...

But then there is something that most people have never thought of when it comes to their articles at article directories.

This is where you will be able to submit articles that will simply blow your competition away. You must now find directories where you can post pictures, audio and video into your article body.

At this point in time, none of the 'Big Boys' allow any of this kind of media to be added into their articles. But I think that in the future, if they do not start allowing this sort of article to be submitted, they will begin to decline in their SERPs rankings and some newer article directories will begin to take those spots.

Here is an example of an article that contains pictures and a video:

How to Get Your Boyfriend Back - 5 Steps to Get Him Back

Notice that there are also no ads competing with the article resource links and smothering the entire page.

If you found this article at and then saw this article, which one would you say provided the best user experience? Obviously the one linked above.

It will be smart of each and every one of you to start thinking about giving your article readers the ultimate user experience. The first step to doing so is to start submitting your articles to directories like Exclusive Article Marketing Community - Submit Articles.

This directory is experiencing the highest click-through rates of any article directory online today...and it's obvious why this is the case.

They are also about to begin allowing interactive quizzes, email opt-in forms, tables and other media.

Get on the 'user experience' bandwagon. It will make the difference in a great article marketing campaign and one in which you are simply surviving.

    Great post Allen!

Our "social nets" and our ability to provide a "hall of fame" user experience will be more important than ever indeed.
