Afdter looking at responses from several of the more active members of the WF I have discovered that even here it is very much a matter of reflex that decides what someone will post.

It is quite disappointing that very few people actually read a stream before joining it and that, when they do, they tend to parrot an opinion they have gleaned from the writings of some guru - and it has already been parrotted before.

Even more disappointing is that this method of posting often fails to recognise the valuable and contrary statements of others - indeed, they will be posted over as if they didn't even exist.

I can understand that with my own posts, after all, I only post my own opinions, but when I see posts by people far more knowledgeable than I giving reasoned and valuable feed-back being ignored, I have to wonder at the valuable information that is being squandered in these boards.

A title to a stream is a necessity but, if that title takes the form of a question and you want to answer it, shouldn't you at least have the courtesy to read all the other answers first in case your answer has already been posted?
