Be, Do, Have Internet Marketing Success

While the theory of be, do, have is relevant in internet marketing, it is really just a dime store theory being handed out on street corners by every would be guru.





Basically the theory goes like this:

• Be the person you want to be
• Do the actions that will get you to where you want to go
• Have the results that you want to have

From what I have experienced since starting to work toward internet marketing success, almost all of the gurus would like me to first become the person that has phenomenal, over-the-top results in the business. They would like to make me into a mini-me. Real me objects to that idea, totally. I've spent 60 years becoming who I am and while I believe in growing on a daily basis, I have no intention of growing into someone that I am not.


So, I really found the MOBE Power Up Call with JT DeBolt this morning to be a fascinating take on the whole be, do, have thing.


Let's take a look at what he had to say, shall we?


BE

It is human nature to look at other people and compare ourselves to them. If they are having tremendous internet marketing success, we want to jump from where we are currently, right to where they are.


There has been a lot written about the idea of "fake it til you make it" since it was used by one of the top women's basketball coaches, but the truth is, it doesn't work for most people.

Like me, they find that what they are faking is not congruent with the truth of who they are at the core. Besides which, it is difficult to be consistent about pretending to be someone that you aren't.


According to JT, you can accomplish this in a way that is authentic for you.

1. Adopt the mindset of a champion. If you don't get this step down then whatever results you have are going to be fleeting.
2. Successful people have a strong belief in themselves, in their mission and in their team.
3. Assume the attitude of a winner and an attitude of gratitude.

Define what it is that you really want to become and then create the role, using the above 3 steps, in yourself. This is not going to be easy especially if you have to overcome erroneous beliefs.


DO

This is the most direct path to internet marketing success. The only thing that will ever bring results is taking action. You have got to be willing to get your hands dirty and make mistakes.


HAVE INTERNET MARKETING SUCCESS

We all want to have a short cut to the results that say, "Hey, I made it!" But, only dreamers will start here and their sole strategy will be hope. Doers also have the dream, the difference is that they get out there and they make it happen.


One of the reasons that we can't just "be" is the same as why we just can't "have", we have to grow into the person we want to become and we have to be taking the actions that will bring us results on a consistent basis no matter how imperfect they are.


"Have internet marketing success" should be your lowest focus point. Do the work and the results will follow.

Be clear about who you want to become as you grow in life and in the internet marketing industry. Work daily on your mindset as it will have a lot to do with the actions that you take and the actions that you take will bring you the results that you desire.


"Be" and "Do" are the engines that will drive the "Have".


Be patient and accept delayed gratification. Have the patience to suck. Have the patience to grow. Internet marketing success is not for the weak of heart.
