The Domino Effect To Success

Success is like a game of falling dominoes.
Our daily power up call for MOBE with JT DeBolt is one of the things that I look forward to. Today, JT was talking about how our affiliate marketing success is like a game with dominoes. You know, the one where you line up all of the dominoes and knock the first one down and witness the ripple effect of each domino falling.
A couple of days ago we talked about willpower. Science seems to be showing that we do possess this trait in a limited quantity meaning that we have to use it early in the day or the month or the project if we are going to be able to utilize it to its fullest capacity.
I like to think of it as a muscle that can be developed through use. It's like pulling your chin up over the bar at the gym and holding that position for as long as you can, like until your muscles are shaking. Do that every day and you are going to find that you can hold the position longer each time that you do it. You are building muscles. Use your willpower in much the same way. Use it until it is shaking and 1 second longer every day and you are going to find that it lasts longer every time you throw it into the mix.
However, once that willpower is gone we are back to procrastinating, back to the drudgery, back to the overwhelm. We have to have a plan of action that will keep us moving forward.
So, think of your affiliate marketing success as a game, a game of dominoes. Set up the dominoes on a long table and sit where you can only hit the first one in the line. Business really is just like this. It is only time and a few dominoes that have to fall before you reach your success.
The question is how do we use our time in order to get to our affiliate marketing success
We have to become clear about what the first step is that we have to take in order to start the dominoes falling.
Start with the biggest thing that you need to do. What has to work?I want you to think opportunity and not money while you are doing this.
For me, it was getting the number of sales that I needed to reach the $10k a month mark. I decided that the first thing I had to do was find a good traffic source and place a solo ad. I had the MOBE funnel and so I didn't need to do that first which is a good thing because I suck at technology.
Keep in mind that you don't have to know all of the steps. All you have to know is that first one.
Anytime that you are suffering from overwhelm, in business or life, you need to take time to find that clarity. It's the cure for overwhelm.
Mind Games for success
Imagine that you are sitting at a long conference room table. You set up all of the dominoes going down the center of the table. Now, seat yourself at the head of the table and look down the row of dominoes. You can clearly see your goal written on the last domino. Some of the others are clear and some are fuzzy. The one in front of you, the first one is totally blank. There is a sharpie pen sitting next to it. Write that first step on the domino.
Dig deep and you will find the answer, you already know 30% of it inherently. You are never going to know all of the facts. You are just going to have to make the best decision possible.
You are creating the domino effect that will become the journey to your affiliate marketing success by taking one small inspired action.
Now, as with all games of dominoes, not all may fall the first time you boldly knock the first one down. There could be too big of a space in between two of them that you are going to have to fill in with another domino or they could be out of alignment a bit and need to be realigned.
Decide to knock it down
This boldly knocking down of the first domino is going to take courage. You are going to find that you are going to need to take more action, have more trust in yourself and your purpose and an unwavering belief that they are all going to fall, in time. This is not science, it is an art.
Are you willing to do it? Do you have the courage to not be right?
Then, push because they are not going to fall all by themselves.
We can create a domino effect to get to our affiliate marketing success if we just have the courage to push down that first domino.
