Invest in your affiliate marketing success by caring about your customer.
We have become a society that is strictly interested in consuming. However, if we let that flow over into our business and our relationships with our customers we are going to miss out on any type of affiliate marketing success.
Whenever we consume something it diminishes in size. In the affiliate marketing industry it means that you focus totally on your product and you enter into a transactional relationship with your customers. Once they have been sold on the product that you have offered them, they are not going to come back for more because whether you want to admit it or not, they want more.
When you invest in something, it grows. When you make the customer the most important aspect of your business, your business will grow. You will have a happy customer that is out there telling others about you and when they need something in the future they are going to come to your first.
In MOBE, we have absolutely fantastic products and we can make a whole lot of money marketing them. That love of the product is essential because it gives us the belief in what we are selling. I am not going to undermine that; however, the customer and what they need has got to take the lead in our marketing.
Think about it this way, there are movies that are made that have a beautifully written script, top actors, music that is to die for and they are marketed relentlessly. Then, they get to the theater and they are a complete bomb. Why? Because the people making the movie are so caught up in their vision that they forget that this may be something the general public is not interested in spending their money on to see.
Whenever you are building a business based on the product first mindset, you are actually telling the world that you are working out of a scarcity mindset. You feel as though you just have to be making money hand over fist so that you can survive because you think that the business could evaporate into thin air.
You have to love what you do but you have got to make your customers the center of your universe. Think of it this way, building a business is like jumping off of a roof without a parachute. The care and love that you have for your customers is your parachute.
If affiliate marketing success is what you really want, the love that you have for your customer is the key that will dictate how much and how often they will buy from you.
If you already have a love of the product that you are representing, then the change of perspective is going to be easy for you because you already have the belief that you need to show your customers how this can actually enhance their life.
What does it take to love somebody?
In order to love somebody you have got to care about them. You have to be willing to invest your time and energy in what matters to them.
We have left that time where greed and speed were the governing factors of business. Now, if we are going to make it in an increasingly competitive field, we have got to slow down and put the relationship that we have with our customers first.

When you invest the time to get to know what it is that moves and motivates your customers, it enriches the relationship that you have with them. The more that you understand them, the more you will find the love that you have for them.
Loving your customers doesn't mean falling over for them.
Sometimes loving someone means using tough love. You don't want to come across like a willow tree that will bend in whatever direction the customer wants to take you. You are the leader. Lead.
Give them the offer.
Once an entrepreneur told me that he loved his customers but he didn't want to beat them over the head with offers all of the time. We cannot guide them to the things that we know will help them find the solutions to their problems unless we make the offer of the product that we know contains the answers that they are looking for.
People are in need of strong leadership. They want to find somebody that will get them focused and guide them to the answer. If you do love your product, you have no conflict between presenting it as the solution to the customer that you are investing in out of love.
Investing in and loving your customer may not bring you immediate affiliate marketing success, but, it will make a shift in your business that allows you to know that the traction to move toward it is there.
