Cash may be king but relationships rule in network marketing.

There are people coming out of the woodwork to teach you all the tactics, sell you the all the tools and give you the mechanics needed for network marketing success.
Everyone wants you to build a business that is based solely on transactions, after all, that's the way that they are building theirs.
As a long time entrepreneur, I can tell you that this is not the way to build a long term business that will continue to grow and blossom.
Businesses that last have relationships with their customers. We learned this through our transmission shop early on. If we had a good relationship with our customers, they were happier and they tended to refer other people to the shop to get their work done.
With an online network marketing business, this is a little harder concept to bring to the table because we are not looking people in the eye. You become a little desensitized to the idea that they are real people with real problems and in need of real solutions.
We talk about marketing as "driving traffic" to our websites and not about getting a message out to people that lets them know that we identify with their pain and that we have a solution that may work for them.
Take yourself out of the network marketing professional role for just a moment and look at the emails that you send out; the marketing copy you use. Read it and ask yourself if it sounds as though the person sending it really wanted to understand and care about you.
Nothing that I have said or am going to say should, however, keep you from asking for the sale. Everything that you put out should have a call to action on it.
Diagnose your network marketing business
Do you catch yourself wandering around going "I gotta make some money" or "I gotta make this work"?
You need to change that attitude and quickly. Otherwise, you are going to come across as desperate and you are going to cease to be the leader that you need to be in order to attract a good network marketing team into your business. They will sense the fear, the lack and the scarcity thinking that is going on in your head.
This is one of those fine nuances of successful entrepreneurs. They let that mindset go and start to build relationships with others.
Then, things shift.
Be invested in relationship building
Think about all of the close relationships that you already have in your life. You know, those people that will come out in the middle of the night because you got a flat tire. The ones that will show up and help you move. The ones that will sit there while you bemoan your existence; then, kick you in the butt to get you moving again.
Now, build the relationships with the people that are on your team and your prospective members and customers in the same way you built those other relationships.
You want people around you that see your value and see the value of having a relationship with you.
The technique that you use to get people interested in your network marketing opportunity doesn't matter. What matters is that you create value for them. Ask yourself if what you are sending out to them will be the best part of their day.
When we are in a transactional mode we are simply telling people to gimme. We want to create synergy in our business and that needs a give and get mentality.
You simply cannot be in business if you give without the expectation that you will receive. It takes cold hard cash to keep a business up and operational. If you are no longer in business, there is no way that you can continue to give value to others.
Make being on your network marketing team an exclusive experience. The Rolls Royce of online business. Then, like Rolls Royce you can ask for more money for the product that you are offering. Differentiate what happens after the sale and you will be moving quickly toward the top.
No one can beat you. You need to be your ad. People will come into your network marketing business in their time and not yours but if the relationship keeps getting built, you will be there when they are ready.
