Affiliate Marketing and the Weekend Warrior

I spend most of my weekends learning new things and then trying them out on my affiliate marketing business and at times the results are painful.
I know that you have all heard about weekend warriors and how they get hurt doing things on the weekend that they are not used to, right?Well, I do the same thing, only with my affiliate marketing business.
This weekend like most people, okay most women, I started out watching the Bruce Jenner interview on television.
I followed this up by listening to a CD of one of my favorite speakers on success, Brian Tracy.
And, these are the results: no sleep on Friday night, tire tracks on my head and a renewed commitment to my affiliate marketing success.

I watched the interview for two reasons: I'm nosy and I knew that everybody would be talking about it.
Then, something funny happened. I got really riveted with his story. I was overwhelmed with compassion and empathy. I had no idea why because I hadn't faced anything like that in my life.
I went to bed thinking about the fact that the alarm wouldn't be sounding at 3:30 in the morning and I would be able to sleep in.
I woke up at 2:00 in the morning and immediately rushed to my journal.
I, too, had been running from what was in my soul. I had a vision and I knew that I had a purpose but I had decided that they were not as important to achieve as avoiding ridicule and hate were.
I had let fear take away the thing that was the very essence of who I was as a woman and an individual.
I had handed all of my power over to people that I didn't even know.
I made the decision and the commitment right there that I would bring that purpose, that vision, to the full light of day and the rest of the world be damned. I could face them head on. I took my power back, in spades.
I, also, lost the rest of the night's sleep.

Every morning while I am getting dressed, I listen to a CD of some sort. Right now I am working through Brian Tracy's "Success Academy".
Saturday morning, he talked about setting your sights on the completion of your vision and walking steadily toward it. As he pointed out, if you are not in flight toward the goal you are not going to know what course corrections that you need to make.
I decided that I would try this out with something less esoteric than my vision and my affiliate marketing success. Just a test run so to speak.
I went over to the transmission shop that I own with my brother. I needed to ask him a question. I saw him at the back of the shop and I firmly set my eyes on the destination. I began to walk. I ran into a car. Now, I have been in this business for 25 years and I fully understand that there are cars flying through the air on lifts.
I spent the rest of the day running errands and explaining to people why I had tire marks on my forehead.
Sunday morning, I listened to the rest of the CD. The part where he told you to glance down at the path every once in a while to make sure that you weren't missing something important.
Every day you learn things that will help you to take your affiliate marketing business to the next level try them out and ride to your success on the backs of giants.
