You have goals that you want to reach, right?

Sure you do. We all do.

But, what are you doing in order to reach those goals?

Are you actively pursuing them with ferocious intent? Or are you just cruising through life hoping that things “magically” fall into place for you?

As internet marketers most of us have the goal of living the “internet lifestyle.” You know, no work and all play!

While this is a great goal to have, and very achievable, you must realize that there are things that must happen along the way if you are to achieve that goal.

So, ask yourself…

What do you need to have happen in order to achieve the goal of living the internet lifestyle? And what can you do in order to make sure your goals are met?

Here are a few things that you can keep in when setting your goals:

* Be clear and specific. In order for you to achieve a goal you have to know exactly what it is. If the vision of your goal is ever changing then you will not have a clear direction with which to pursue it. By being specific you will be able to drill down which will help you avoid any and all distractions along the way.

* Goals need to be measurable. There needs to be a tangible way for you to track your progress on your way to the top of the mountain. For example, if your goal is to make a certain amount of money, or have a certain number of new clients, know what those numbers are so you can measure how far you have come.

* Create steps along the way. Creating steps, or having mini goals, along the way will allow you to experience success a little bit at a time. This will give you confidence that you are on the right path and that achieving the ultimate goal is just a matter of time. The key is to know what these steps are before you start working towards your goal. Again, be clear and specific on what you need to do along the way.

* Hold yourself accountable. Is it ok if you’re not working towards your end goal? Well, that’s up to you but it is important to build in some real consequences for yourself if you’re not doing what you should be doing. The best thing to do may be to enlist a family member to track your progress according to the steps that you have outlined. If you are failing to make progress make sure there is a consequence! This will certainly help you stay motivated!
