Hi Everyone - If you buy a lot of domain names like I do you know that the cost can add up quite quickly. Right now the cost of a .com domain is around $10.99.
There are a number of reasons I buy a lot of domains.
Sometimes I like to build sites quickly to see if the niche or keyword is going to be a good one. Unfortunately many times the site does not end up ranking well and generating any income. In these cases I want to keep my expenses at a minimum until I know for sure the niche and keywords I am targeting are a good one or not.
I also do a lot of "site flipping" and "Domain Flipping" where I will research a particular niche and build a site, get it to rank, and then resell it for a profit. This takes quite a bit of effort, and also expense in outsourcing, creating content, and the other tasks associated with building and selling a site.
To give you an example, for the past few years I have bought an average of over 100 domains per year! So, not only have I had to pay for the cost of registering those domains, for every domain that remains in my account needs to be renewed for an additional cost.
Luckily, a few years ago I found out about Domain Promo Codes. These codes are issued by the domain registrar and hosting companies and allow the user to get a discount on the product or service being purchased. You simply enter the code into your shopping cart during checkout and the discount is automatically applied to your order and you save money.
The codes can save you a lot of money! For instance, this year I have seen godaddy codes as low as .99 cents. I have frequently see coupons for $1.99 for up to 3 .com domain names. This represents a substantial savings in my business.
The main problem with these promo codes or discount coupons as they are also called it that they have a fairly short expiration date on them. So very often by the time you find one of these codes they have already expired, and finding the latest codes can there fore take a lot of time. Luckily I found a free website that will actually email you the latest godaddy promo codes - for free. You simply sign up to their service and voila, anytime a new code is released it is emailed to you.
