Why You Should Start Blogging Right Now

Who likes to write? I mean honestly....
Well in high school and college, that was pretty much the only thing that held my attention. Lots of my friends had journals and notebooks for personal interests, and during this time blogging was a far fetched idea for even me.
"Writing for a living? Well that can't hardly be as much fun."
It's amazing what you can learn in the short span of a few years and a few experiences later.
An incredible story to know about, is that of one of the greatest bloggers - John Chow.

John Chow is a blogger and entrepreneur. Today his website John Chow dot Com is one of the most visited blogs on the internet, with over 200,000 active daily readers.
He is known mainly for his top notch training courses, value-filled books and .....of course blog!

So, the research continued.
I focused in on bloggers like Chow & Matthew Woodward. It baffled me how people could create such substantial incomes from doing what they love online and simply helping other people achieve the same thing.
This process took months. Blogging wasn't on the top of my list at all because at the time, I didn't see it as a neccessity or something that could quickly take me to the destination I was looking to get to within 6 months.
Needless to say....

This actually put a hault on my desired goals and personal business growth after high school.
I went on to pick up a few jobs in offices, nursing homes, and hospitals. After 3 years, lots of stress from work, and a few pep talks to myself....I jumped into the "making money from home" world.
And ironically, ended up right back where I wanted to start from the very beginning.
Now this may not fit into what goals you have for yourself, maybe you just want to start a blog for a hobby or interest you enjoy in spare time.
Whatever the case may be...
HERE ARE 5 TIPS I WOULD GIVE ANYONE LOOKING TO START A BLOG, AND WHY RIGHT NOW IS THE BEST TIME
1. A Blog is Your Online Real Estate. This is where you create your online presence, share your story and knowledge with others. Just a tip: include free trainings and really connect with readers to gain followers and in some cases, long term customers as well.
2. Not Sure What Your Niche Is? Find it with a blog! Ask your readers what it is they want to learn about, what is they want you to write about. Social media sites are nice to receive feedback on what the next move should be in your business, but remember how powerful and convenient it can be to simply connect with others on your blog and find out what they really want to know..all from one source.
3. Traffic Source Is NOT A Problem. Most online marketers or entrepreneurs know that they have no business if people are not constantly exposed to it. So many people go out and purchase different systems to generate traffic. Blogs can generate innumerable amounts of traffic, from back-linking, to forum posts, to simply sharing your blog on others after commenting on a post. The possibilities are endless. And if you put in the effort to cater to your blog and provide value, believe me others will flock to whatever it is you have to offer.
4. Don't be a Guru, be a Do-ru. One of the main reasons I hear people often give for not going ahead and getting started with a blog is because they don't know enough information. Let me just say, people honestly respect people. If you have a story and experience in a subject - write about it! It's more exciting to read about a real person who has a similar story than a expert just rattling off facts online. Don't worry about perfection. All it takes is knowing 1% more than someone else about a topic, and you can teach it to others. Do it!
5. Last but Not Least...The perfect time to start a blog is right now. It's low cost, doesn't take as much effort as writing a book or even creating a product, and a blog can be the gateway for whatever ideas you come up with in the future. This is your "flag in the ground" and accomplishments will continue to come throughout the journey. Just know you now will have the resource to document every step along the journey and help other people succeed along the way.
