Just now found Dan's free ebook for getting dofollow .edu and .gov backlinks. Really brilliant method given away free.

    Since people started using forum profiles for backlinks, I've heard very little about getting edu and gov ones anymore. Are they still worth it?

    You may be right there. But IMO a few backlinks here and there can't hurt.
