Some members of ASD Cash Generator and Golden Panda Ad Builder appear to have threatened the Moultrie Observer with a lawsuit after learning the newspaper planned to publish an editorial on Ponzi and Pyramid schemes.

In July, ASD's Andy Bowdoin told ASD members attending a company rally in Miami that he was targeting "slanderers" with $40 million lawsuits. Some ASD and Golden Panda members appear to be following Bowdoin's lead by threatening the Moultrie Observer.

Moultrie is the home of U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss. It is a small, semirural community of about 14,000 residents.

ASD, which billed itself a professional advertising company, is in trouble with the U.S. government. Prosecutors have alleged the firm is a Ponzi scheme.
